I asked Rax what he thought about your recommendations and he told me Aurabella is, in fact, the best pet parrot.... though he did think the others were very nice too. xox

Well, Rax knows things about Cockatoos that most people don’t! Things about how wonderful Cockatoos are- but, not everyone knows how to understand, love and appreciate Cockatoos wonder ❤️.

Great video. Please in some future videos remind people that they can live a long time (30-80 years depending on species) and that they should be prepared to be responsible care takers their entire lives. There are far too many rehomed birds in rescues waiting for second or third homes while people still go to breeders and pet shops hoping to find a bird that they can train in 5 minutes to be their trained monkey. And when that doesn’t happen, they tend to ignore (life in a cage) or get rid of them. Also as we have done, make plans in your will or trust on who takes over the care when you are no longer able or have died and the bird(s) have outlived you. Bummer planning but necessary. We have a few rehomed birds, giving them another chance (and their forever home) and just got another one from a family with serious illness. Luckily she decided to rehome before she could no longer take care of her. Mango says hello and she has a new girlfriend. We found an older female GC and drove 1500 miles RT to get her. Luckily my daughter is a bird nut like us and will take over should something happen to us.
Again Tks for another great video.

Hey!! I have been looking for about 8 months. Do you have any updated information on the blue headed macaw? How are they during adulthood vs. babies? And specifically, I’m trying to decide between a Cape and a Blue Head! Many of the adult BHMs I’ve met seem quite aloof, and less affectionate than other minis. Thank you! You rock! I volunteer at a rescue with over 150 birds and we appreciate your guidance and awareness so much!!
