  • Had fun with Nick in the blue ZL1 1LE doing a little lead follow through some traffic in the beginning. At around 17:50 we get some quick laps in.

I was the red Nismo Z you passed on 16 and 17 at the 8 min and 22 min mark. Ya'll were cooking. I battled high oil temps all day so I kept having to run cool downs. I was trying to keep corner speeds up and give you a good line around.

Hey....I remember your car. Sorry you were having oil temp issues. Sebring is definitely tough on the cars. I've been fortunate.....knock on wood. The ZL1 1LE has been bulletproof so far, and she's definitely fast. I think she ran low 2:22's that day. Heading back to Sebring on June 10th with CHIN. I think I can drop another second or two. Thats the goal at least. I'll look for you at some of the future events.

@@robhamilton1270 best of luck out there. June is hot for sure. I was able to run 2:27.8, but I can’t keep that pace for more than two laps before I have to limit rpm.

Nice driving and lap times (saw a 2:22 or better) ! I knew you had to have sticker tires than the 3R's the way you cornered! The 3 R's are much better than the Cup 2's...I've run both for a long time.(Cup @'s wear the inside edge wet rubber band too fast and cord!). Love the 3 R's but they wouldn't stick at your corner speeds (you were 3-5 mph faster). Maybe I'll try the Toyo RR's cause I've gone thru about 7-8 sets of 3 R's in 8,000 track miles.

The Toyo RR's are a good overall track tire and they last, but there's not substitute for full slicks. I run either Hoosier's or Michelin slicks when I want to run some quick laps. It's a heavy car and I need something that can hold it in the turns.

fast!! Nice drive, overall good lines. traction control came on often though…..I suspect u have ABS, and I’m sure other nets in a car like this. Would be interesting for you to drive a no nets car this hard and see what happens. Or, turn off your traction control. Most pro leagues do not have traction control.

I think I had the Hoosier slicks on for that session but I generally run Toyo RR's. Good performance and they last a long time.

@@robhamilton1270 Interesting I had not heard alot about the toyo's for our cars, I have been running Pilot sport cup 2's but want to get back to the goodyears. Are you in florida, was wanting to get come up with some comaro guys that go to track days regularly. I am doing sebring again next weekend.

@@FloridaBandit99 I found the Sport Cup 2's to be terrible on my car. No grip. I've tried a few others but the Toyo RR's have some serious grip and last quite a while. Best bang for the buck. Been hard to find though the last year.

@@FloridaBandit99 I have not. I have a buddy with a C7 Corvette that has and he didn't like them so I stayed away. You have a ZL1 1LE? What year? Do you ever run with CHIN?
