EPIC BIKE RIDE - SANTA MONICA TO VENICE BEACH 🚴🌴🎡

- Ride with us along the Marvin Braude Bike Trail, aka "The Strand" as we go from Santa Monica to Venice and stop off at the major points of interest along the way. Riding along "The Stand" is one of the most epic things to do in West Los Angeles. It covers 22 miles of scenic coastline along the Pacific Coast.
First, we rent bikes and head north on The Strand towards the Santa Monica Mountains. Next we go south and ride past the Santa Monica Pier, which is a national iconic landmark and features the Pacific Park amusement park and solar powered Ferris wheel.
Next, we go south to Venice Beach where we visit the Public Art Walls, Skate park, Muscle Beach, and Boardwalk. We pass by the famous street art and experience the lively people watching.
We end our tour back at our starting point, Santa Monica, where we ride past the original Hot Dog On A Stick, and do a photo shoot at the public art project "Singing Beach Chairs". We get the last glimpses of magic hour sun before turning in our bike rentals for the day. Enjoy!

Dream to ride this bike path
I've been there, many times, and it's a great place and lots of fun. Venice is fun because of all the art for sale and unique items. Santa Monica is a beautiful place and I think it's my favorite along the bike route. We rent a room either in Santa Monica or Pacific Palisades (all the places are very nice), then ride our bikes south on the bike trail to Torrance then back, stopping a lot to shop, eat, people watch, or just hang out on the beach. Spend the whole day out there, it's great, we love it! Then we meet up with friends who live in L.A., and go to griffin park or huntington gardens or getty museum or whatever. I love Los Angeles and look forward to visiting any time we can get time off and come out there. Absolutely awesome city!

I'm from the Philippines..and I've never been to the US. (I hope to visit soon before I die) I thought The Strand was somewhere between Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach or Oceanside..so it's literally the bike path, that they call The Strand? hehe, cool!

It's usually in the 70s at the beach, but we brought jackets because it can be breezy.
