Just for future reference and for anyone else wanting to tackle this, that red tab is NOT for holding in the pins. The red tab is there to hold the faceplates together (white, green, orange) into the black housings. You slide the red tab over and pull the faceplate off to expose the golden pins from the front. Now you can see how the pins are held into place… by little black tabs molded into the connector housing itself. You can actually now use your finger to pry the pins against the black tabs and push them out the back of the connector housing. The reason yours are pulling out the back so easily is because someone has broken those inner black tabs. You’ve permanently fixed that issue now by replacing the housing… BUT for those needing to repair their wiring DO NOT force your wires out the back of the connector without REMOVING THE FACEPLATE first!!! You will RIP the golden pins off. No beuno!
Yea I realized that after I had them fixed heh. They still don't come out after the red tab is moved over. There's a certain way to remove the pins as you've described. I couldn't add it to the video, thanks.
Definitely the one area you don’t cheap out on is wiring
Have you ever had a no crank no start issue. It occured after starting a few times. . New ignition switch. Lights turn on the dash fuel pump activates . No start no started clicking.
Hey man I have a similar issue with my obdII port. It stopped working. They say replace your radio, aux fuse and I did just that. I blew out the aux fuse because I was using a plug in portable car vaccum, and I guess using it for 5 min or so was too long for it and got the fuse hot and blew out the aux fuse. So that was replaced and now my aux and radio work...but now the obd port does not. It has no power to it. Some Ppl say I fried some wire, but you'd think if I did, I'd smell it and pinpoint where the smell is coming from. But I didn't hear, smell or anything weird of the sort. Car drives normal. I just don't get where to look.
I could follow the wires and see where they lead to but I don't even know which ones bad. So I don't know how to proceed from there. Will the harness for the obd port be, under the dash, or under the hood like yours is? Cause I know there's 2 fuse boxes. But which fuse box does the obd port lead to?
Exactly like the problem I have right now. I went in blinded to buy the car. Same wiring problems, electrical tape, butt connectors and all that mess.. any suggestions why they would do that to the wiring?
All kinds of aftermarket tuners require access to the spark/fuel readings, and people do it sloppy.
Keep them coming the srt4 still sick looking

That's awesome that your electrical friendly,because electric problems are my biggest nightmare,and I just wont deal with it.I wish I understood ,and knew more about electrical problems

Mine was full of wiring gremlins when I bought it too it’s very frustrating. I believe that I fixed them all as well funny thing is my horn works randomly and my ac just stopped working one day without notice now I’m wondering if my ecu connectors are bad as well 🤦♂️
Literally same problems lol. Swap your relays around.

Man, that a clean SRT4. It reminds me of mine when I bought it almost 8 years ago. 180K miles later, she's still running strong on the stock turbo. Just need a fresh paint job.

@@crxmassive Hell yea man, I had one for a decade, eblue. I was an OG owner from 05-15. You'll even find some real old videos of it if you dig back through my channel. They are so fun. Even more fun than my Hellcat.

Why is you’re battery light on?
The battery temp sensor isn't connected. Didn't have the diode installed to get rid of it yet.
Did you ever get rid of the battery light? If so, will you guide me how to get rid of it. Mine is on because I swapped my pcm to a refurbished one, it came like that.
