I totally disagree with people's relationship depending on their parent's relationship. An entire generation of people are undergoing divorce in spite of the fact that their own parents never got divorced and were good parents and human being in general. All this mental analysis is of no use. Its all about fear - fear of social humiliation and / or legal repercussion. Earlier women feared what society will say if they do stuff like cheating, legal repercussion hasn't really been a thing. Today, women fear NOTHING as society doesn't care, rather encourages women to do whatever. Men on the other hand are extremely fearful, the legal system will destroy the man forever. Anyway, attachment styles cannot be changed just like MBTI cannot be changed. What has to happen to you is already pre-decided.
