Ive been with him since the beginning of the franchise and personally I thought this was his best look to the franchise. His style from RE1 and Code Veronica never really stood out to me, he seemed pretty ordinary, even the RE Remake. Least this look gave him more style.

I can say Chris' redesign was somewhat the most reasonable compared to everyone else. Chris' muscle mass increase was actually a canon via storyline. He worked himself out as much as he could after encountering Wesker in Code Veronica. Chris was easily overpowered, so he felt he needed to beef up in order to stand a chance against Wesker.

well you could have just used google for 2 minutes and find out the truth. In the game you have 2 demon weapons and 2 angelic weapons (also the normal sword and a few guns) and you can quickly switch between these and only very few enemies required a angelic or demonic weapon and the game also has 2 grapple hooks (like the devil bringer from dmc4) 1 can grapple enemy to you and other grapple you to enemy. The combat is not as in depth as dmc4 styles but is still fun and different than the other dmc games in a good way because you dont want the same combat every time.
Jimmy Acevedo it definitely didn't play like the original dmc's there's no lock on, but I will say it kinda gave a meaning to hack and slash without it. As far as enemies and weapons there are only a few enemies effected by the weapon type not all and you get about 4 others weapons after you start out that are still pretty bad ass and satisfying for what they are cause its more than what you get and more unique than what you pick up in the first two dmc's.
I kinda liked the Pinky Demon's design in DOOM 3. Really creeped me out in its first encounter. It always scares the CRAP outta me every time I come across one (or hear that damn roaring in the distance).
I personally liked his redesign a little bit. In frankly, they did smooth out a little bit of his ugliness in later games. However I do have to admit his absence from the list is puzzling. Just because I like his design doesn't mean it isn't widely hated.
I LOVED PRINCE OF PERSIA and my favorite game was warrior within, i felt that this was when the prince was in his truest, as at this point he had goals and missions, its the third games redesign that bothered me, but any game after the original three isn't Prince of Persia to me. just not the same guy

I love Dante's redesign and how they integrate it into the story, even though he jokes about the white hair early in the game at the very end it becomes much whiter. This is Dante who is clearly very early in his career and he is slowly becoming the Dante that we all remember from the earlier games. I know their different continuities but still. My point stands. He is still growing up.

The reason Jill wasn't added was because that was just Weskers idea to change her hair. If you play mercenaries or even Lost In Nightmares in RE5 she had her original design then the fight with wesker happened. So from there wesker took her and mind controlled her. So I guess he preferred her as a blonde. It wasn't a redesign it was a wesker look change.

This may sound nit picky, but I want to address some things about Bionic Commando (2009) that has been misinterpreted. A lot of people say that the game is a remake or a reboot, but it is actually a direct sequel to the original from NES or it's remake, Bionic Commando Rearmed. Plus, RAD is still part of his name (Nathan "RAD" Spencer). It's just that "RAD" stands for "Research and Development" since he is the first soldier to have a bionic limb.

And reading the manga/ watching the anime you see that Dante doesn't really give a fuck about his appearance anyway so a white tee shirt and blue jeans kinda makes sense for freelance assassin/"terrorist"/demon hunter

Yes, Knuckles' redesign isn't the best ever, but you get used to it, plus, people need to keep in mind that Knuckles is only dumb for the sake of Cartoon Network logic and a spinoff while outside of that Sega brings him back to who he really is. I don't get why people seem to always think that the dumb Knuckles is very official and it gets on my nerves.

How dare you put Warrior Within in this list? The Prince was spot on in that game. He is being chased by the Dahaka for YEARS to avoid fated death. Any man would've gone either mad, extremely selfish and depressed at that point. There was no possible way for him to be the same teenage Aladin clown from the first game. It takes huge balls and confidence in your work to release such an ambitious title like Warrior Within.
I think the redesign could have worked had they not written him as a derp, and not disrespected the original with the wig scene. Maybe a different voice actor, too, since this guy's voice makes him sound very annoying and punchable.

You should've included Garret from the thief series; in the original trilogy he was a guy who stole to pay the rent, and only knew how to because the keepers took him in. Fast forward to Thief reboot and he's an angsty bastard who wears makeup and steals "because that's just what he does"

#10 and #3 are considered bad redesigns really depends on who you ask. Also, for DMC reboot in general, fans opinions on that game has actually changed. Before people were just looking at it through nostalgia lenses and judging it based on that rather than for what it really was.

DmC is actually quite enjoyable, if you think of it as just some random game, rather than a Devil May Cry reboot.
It should have been it's own IP instead of a reboot.

The reason Jill wasn't added was because that was just Weskers idea to change her hair. If you play mercenaries or even Lost In Nightmares in RE5 she had her original design then the fight with wesker happened. So from there wesker took her and mind controlled her. So I guess he preferred her as a blonde. It wasn't a redesign it was a wesker look change.

This may sound nit picky, but I want to address some things about Bionic Commando (2009) that has been misinterpreted. A lot of people say that the game is a remake or a reboot, but it is actually a direct sequel to the original from NES or it's remake, Bionic Commando Rearmed. Plus, RAD is still part of his name (Nathan "RAD" Spencer). It's just that "RAD" stands for "Research and Development" since he is the first soldier to have a bionic limb.

Gustavo Barría Chavarría I think what fans hated most was Dante's attitude change to try and blend with his modern look. It felt too forced and unnecessary. Similar to the bomberman trade off, they just tried too hard to make a beloved character more twisted, dark, edgy, and emo.

I like both Devil May Crys. And I like both Dantes (granted the older DMCs still went through some character design changes). New DMCs Dante was more realistic than the Asian-European, white haired, edgy, Fabio-esk Dante from the older series. Don't get me wrong, I've played DMC from the beginning and iconic is iconic, but there's nothing wrong with this Dante. It makes more sense given the location. And reading the manga/ watching the anime you see that Dante doesn't really give a fuck about his appearance anyway so a white tee shirt and blue jeans kinda makes sense for freelance assassin/"terrorist"/demon hunter

Yes, Knuckles' redesign isn't the best ever, but you get used to it, plus, people need to keep in mind that Knuckles is only dumb for the sake of Cartoon Network logic and a spinoff while outside of that Sega brings him back to who he really is. I don't get why people seem to always think that the dumb Knuckles is very official and it gets on my nerves.

Correction: Tiny Tiger is based off the thylacine, also known as the Tazmanian tiger or wolf. Check out the original design and check out a pic of the Tazmanian tiger, you would see similarities.
you did realize they justified why the prince in warrior within acted that way he had been relentlessly been chased by the guardian of the timeline (not even gonna to spell its name) he hasn't slept or eaten in 3 years so he has the a reason to be the way he is.
You should've included Garret from the thief series; in the original trilogy he was a guy who stole to pay the rent, and only knew how to because the keepers took him in.

In regards to Boom Knux, I've grown to like the DESIGN, but I hate the severe personality change. If they just kept his brain about the same as before, then I'm sure less people would complain.
#10 and #3 are considered bad redesigns really depends on who you ask. Also, for DMC reboot in general, fans opinions on that game has actually changed. Before people were just looking at it through nostalgia lenses and judging it based on that rather than for what it really was.
