Sunshine is the best disinfectant for a closed system. the state claims 9 billion in the Rainy Day fund and it's pouring outside. I doubt there is 9 billion

It's funny the same government has no problem auditing YOU the taxpayer. Why do they fear more transparency? Their reluctance speaks volumes. Expect stories of character defamation towards Diana DiZoglio. When you cannot attack the message you attack the messenger. The former auditor's statement, "subjective value judgements have no place in an audit" is a flagrant statement to make when you are a servant of the people.

They get audited either way though. The only question is whether the state auditor should be the one to audit the legislature or a 3rd party auditor as is currently required. The audit still happens either way. I personally think a 3rd party auditor is less likely to show bias than someone from in house but if u disagree I’m open to being proven wrong too. Whether or not the legislature gets audited is not on the ballot though. It is merely who will be auditing them

Immediately shut them down! How dare they demand more transparency!

How much money is collected every year from the extra family leave tax that all Massachusetts employees pay regardless of whether or not they have benefits already? How much is that money helping people ?

Stop double paying for benefits, the state offers better benefits for cheaper

Lmao! Wow… it sounds like this former auditor still on the payroll. Transparency is a must in the *3rd most expensive state in the country…*

They get audited either way. I think most ppl would agree that having the government audit themselves is more ripe for corruption than using third party auditors. Dont let a smooth tongue and pretty face get you fooled. There is nothing transparent about requiring audits to be done in house if u ask me
