Flair at the new house, build a big barn where you can have all your big animals inside at night and not have any issues with winter time
Find an old barn near by and use reclaimed wood or move it, I saw people moving barns in iowa when gas was around $2
Bull crap more junk did you pass out a kiss with each box or was it robs day on barrel
@@ethans6756 buying raw saw mill lumber is more cost effective these days. Well in my area of east Tennessee anyway I can't say it's the same everywhere. Big t reclaimed barn lumber is a multi million dollar thing right now. All the hipster craft crap has made old barn lumber go through the roof, especially if it's had the nails removed already that really makes it more expensive.
Wrap heat tape around pipe for the chicken water and heater in the blue drum. Plus put temperature switches in coop to turn on heat when temp gets down instead of your timer switches
That great idea 💡 and also put hay under and around the barrels it may help I hope he see your idea 💡 idea 💡 s they help lot.
They're called thermostats dummy.
@@tredlig1717 hay asshole how you doing
Flair you need to add more fluff and hay in the chicken pen and give some hay for the quail and other birds. During winter I add 3 to 4 inches of hay on the floor of my chicken pen. I also installed a small wall heater with a thermostat to heat the pen as well, just make sure to cover the top of it to keep poop and other stuff from getting in it and causing a fire. I believe it was only 30$ for the heater stuff.
It gets way below freezing here in Buffalo New York with 6ft of snow and I don’t use heat lamps in chicken coops , it isn’t needed
Try using plant heaters and water bed heaters. Good for ambient temperature control in small inclosed areas like the chicken coup. Use a beer brewing thermostat to control it. Can even be solar powered. Solar powered heater for water buckets. Burying water lines can help from the freeze.
Hey Andrew, I’m back. Please consider putting an electric oil heater in the chicken coop. For winter freeze. That shade is too big for heat lamps.
You can get the black tube insulation like they put on copper pipe and a house and it'll work the same way on PVC
Should really insulate the shed for the chickens, be more efficient to keep hot in winter and help keep it cooler over summer
I love the content y’all produce badass everyday life and love how y’all get along all the time from the video perspective Jake seems as though he is a hell of hand!! That’s hard to come by nowadays! Stay warm during the freeze guys
Instead of sticking the plywood sides on the front, Mary the two huts together and make one large on. Just have to off set it so they can get in one of the doors and block the other one off.
You're going to want some cover for the quail, some shrubbage/dense bush or something to block the wind.
Don't forget the plywood on the front of the loafing sheds
I gotta prep my farm tomorrow luckily I live in Georgia so the winters aren’t too cold but still cold enough to freeze the waterers and stuff. Always a good vid flair👍🏻
I would highly recommend always hanging heat lamps by two separate hangers for security purposes and due to fire risk.
What if y'all in the near future instead of extension cords you put in ( underground ) power lines and at each coop or watering troff you put an waterproof outlet box, just a suggestion
maby tarp around and over the peacock pen and add some support to hold the ceiling when snow weighs down the top.
Also need an update on the old trailer blind with the noisy metal rails. Pimp it out and move it to the ranch
It was so funny seeing the bucket on Ralph’s head. Lol
Tip for Flair. When adding new feed to a existing bucket of feed, do not pour new stuff on top of old stuff. You will eventually get old and rotten feed at the bottom of the bucket that will make your animals sick. Love the show.
He ain't that smart. Duh
FIFO lol
@@Orticai he’s animals get feed and freshwater everyday they look nice and healthy he has had vets there aswell pretty sure they would tell animals abuse people if something was wrong get a life
@@yummybong148 get a life dawg. He consistently has vets on site if something was being done wrong then it would be known.
@@ecck2 did you really say "dawg" , spelt like that and everything. "His consistently", I think you mean He consistently. I'll get a life when someone educated recommends that, you should go back to grade 3 english.
Beefcake Auto and Trailers….
Rebuild and paint that animal trailer. Sand blast and paint it. Maybe even “Beefcake Farm&Livestock” logo on the side, Something though. My mechanic senses are tingling every time I see that beat up trailer. Plus it would be a good series of rebuilding it. LED lights, and chicken markers down the sides would make that trailer look good, with a fresh coat of white or red paint. And some polished aluminum Diamond plate paneling on the sides.
The hum of the HVAC and the sound of the chickens made it sound like a horror movie lol
Most of the feed bags have a pull string to open them at the bottom
Fk that, use the knife😉
Flair at the new house when you set up the pens. Get an actual heated drinking font for the big animals. It will make you’re life a ton easier. I live on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. We have a few of them. You trench a waterline and electric to the font and all you gotta do to prepare for winter is flip the breaker when it gets cold out it works all summer. It costs more to do but once it’s set up it’s a big part of chores that you don’t have to worry about. Especially when it’s cold and no one wants to be out there.
SHEEW! Working currently for New York City Transit and I stop working to watch these videos. Always entertaining.
Anyone else notice how friendly the turkeys were getting around the bird enclosures? It's almost like they know Turkey Day is coming and they are trying to improve their chances of survival! Haha
buckethead merch!!! flaire. i hope that you are remembering all the things that have worked and not worked on the farm. implement them into the new place having power and water ran underground to your barn sites will be huge in not having extension cords all over. your chickens do not need the heat lamp once they are feathered fully, only chicks and poults needs supplemental heat. you risk fire, been there. coop fires happen fast and usually roast the birds inside
Try the big pool noodles to cover the pvc it might help insulate it so you have a less chance of it freezing and busting
Thanks Flair for the vlog
I wonder if Ralph would have fun playing with horse toys? There are those balls with the handle, maybe he and the other animals would like that. 🤔
I love Flairs puppy-talk with Ralph, like that’s one big ass puppy
We need bucket Ralph merch now. I laughed my ass off when he got the bucket stuck on his head
yes
i thought the same thing
I peed a little, NOT! Is everyone 5?
Ralph with the bucket on his head and a guitar.
Ralph is the best
I want to see you build the ultimate area for the animals at the new place! Back at the barn yard style for the big animals and just prime coops/cages for everything else, nice fencing and maybe a little water area that's concrete n maybe a drain at the bottom for when you want to change it out
All the animals are like kids... gotta freakin love it.. all got their own personalities 🤣😂🤣
Hey papa Beefcake, don’t forget to put some boards on the barns in the big animal animal enclosure to keep the wind out!
Thank you flair for taking care of Ralphie! He's go his ups and downs but you still stick with him. I don't know if other people would put up with him. The whole fact of you trying to make him "kush" ? To lay down and you noticed it made him uneasy and stopped. Papa Flairs a beast!
@flair go get pool noodles from the dollar store and cut 1 slit down any side any where it don’t matter just make sure it’s straight as possible put that around your pipe wrap with old shop rags t shirts ext. and final step wrap in duck tape
That water heater in the smaller tank was upsidedown the blue side goes up n floats the metal part gets Hot and keeps the surface open
Chickens do not need heat. Live fine at 20 below here I Alaska. Just heated water OUTSIDE the coop and wide perches.
16:58 these dang speed clones man I swear there so outa pocket😂
Just once while wearing that hat, with the flaps, will you please walk around with a shot gun and say "I'll get you, you waskly wabbit!"
Those freaking raccoons! Those geese were adorable!!
Ralph, you and that bucket just made my night, lmao!🐪🪣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Flair, you sound like you're coming down with something. Get some citrus into you.
flair heres a tip. use old egg cartons you get from store bought eggs so that u never have to worry about cracking any or having to handle them twice. into the carton then out of the carton when you use them
I love seeing all the behind of the scenes of what it takes to take care of all your animals. Your camel trying to eat the light was so funny.
An idea for you flair, at the new house have a hay barn to keep the hay dray and stop it rotting also get a big barn for the animals to help with winter. Final tip is don’t add new feed on to old as the old will rot and make the animals ill
Bro, that feed don't have time to rot, it gets used in a day or so..
You can get heated water hose off amazon. You also need a hound and train it to track raccoons.
Think I heard Ralph say he wanted some flapjacks. Hope the reference is received. Love the hats!!! Thanks for the vids.
love chore vids, the original ones. You do a great job with it flair, Keep it up!
Love these types of videos. This and the whole new chicken coop series. The content on the animals upkeep is great and very enjoyable for some surprising reason!
Turn uppppppp! Got to meet you one day man!
Need to highfence your New house. With all the pipes from the ranch and then you will never have to worry about fencing again
You should really think about getting some spray foam and insulating the chicken coop!
Not only will it keep the coop warm in the winter it will help keep it cool in the summer.
Interesting fact there is a tab you can lift up on a normal zip tie to reuse it, love the vids, keep up the grind!
Man Ralph was killing me
Sheewwww this cold weather been nice
Close the vents in the top to keep the heat in better. Or make them so you can open them and close them
On the auto water set ups you can use pool noodles to keep them from freezing
You could take the dog house out of the goose pen and put it in the quail pen so that have shelter
You should get some heat tape for all the exposed PVC and water lines to keep them from freezing
Know I see when I go to the tractor supply there’s no food left because flair has it all 😂😂😂
Coild use some timber around the chicken wire enclosure to keep them a bit warm, or could make them a different enclosure as well
Feed bags have the string so you don’t need the knife…. But too each their own
hey flair I love your video and i really hope you do more riding videos with your mini jeeps also i think you should put a lift kit on it
Have you looked into solar panels to power the bowls so that way your not running extension cords everywhere?
Always enjoy these videos. Ralph is a riot. He always brings a smile to my face.
Once again I quite enjoyed your video. Have you ever thought about some kind of radiative heating source for your chickens such as radiative heating pads. I know a lot of people who use them for their reptiles. I am sure there might be some for birds. I just don’t know about a large chicken coop.
Shewwww beefcake construction 😎but you should put a snow plow attachment on the dually and put some more fall fish like jumbo yellow perch for ice fishing
Duallys suck in the snow
I miss when flair used to go to the auction, i saw the trailer that he hauled Ralph in and it made me remember that video
Then I wanted to rock his mic.
Get a Milwaukee razor pocket knife. Button on the outside for easy release. And can easily change blades!
When he said reusable zip ties my jaw actually dropped😂
Same! Like how!?
you need to get 3 months worth of hay, and get more grain, poultry feed for three months
Damn I liked the geese while Ralph and Rick cause chaos
Flair you should put a light on every door to the pens hooked to the same power source, that way if power is out or unplugged you can see before you get to it!!!
Ralph was definitely doing Ralph stuff 😄 I kinda enjoy seeing your barnyard crew stalk you as y'all work.
You are my spirit animal.
Flair!!! Loving the farm vids!!! Please keep them up. I know you don’t do farm stuff everyday but if you can get your hired hand that helps record some or what you can that would be awesome. The content is great and interesting! Keep up the good work!
@texxtt9194 no way!!! I can’t believe it!
Seems like FLair needs to run some permanent wiring out to places instead of using a bunch of rando extension cords.
Shout out to you Flair, for putting out the best content on RUclips !!! Bar none my guy!!!💯🔥
If you have extra extension cords run it behind the animal barn so they don’t step/trip on the wiring
Makes my day when I can watch flair your the best youtuber by a long shot
bros got a casual pallet of all flock
Hi Andrew. Keep doing your stuff. The cabin has been my favorite and I'm Brad's biggest fan. I have a question for you. Any advice on your channel? I put a couple on. Check out taking a Charger apart for repainting and after I put it together
You should build a solar heater for the chicken shack! It is easy and you can add a thermostat
Flair you forgot to put down bedding for the big animals in the barns
And put of wood on the side to block snoe
Hey I would suggest stuffing that attic of the coop with insulation you will lose a lot of your heat up there
Didn’t you bury power wires last year? Also you should get a big horse to go with Ralph, I’d love to see them running around together…lol
You should to a video of cleaning up the ranch and the farm
Quail layin eggs....You need to put a light on them. They need at least 14 hours of light for them to lay regular.
Should do a video pimping out the animal trailer. Like New paint New whatever 🤷🏽♂️
sheew loving the chore vids! keep em coming ❤
Y'all got to put up wood on the lil barns before the extrema cold and snow
I am guessing that boarding up part of the barns will happen when you do the bedding ?
If you get those fish tank pumps that just keep the water moving around, won't that stop the water tubs from freezing?
Let Ralph have his water straight from the tap. It was funny.
Tit not tap
Dunk Banjo in syrup, roll him in grain, feed to animals
At least it should be the last winter at the backyard farm
Flair you should insulate the chicken coop then cover it with plywood. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about them getting cold.
You have to have a white light preferably 14 to 15 hours a day or they're going to quit laying
Rip geese, gonna miss those guys
Don't put heat lamps in with the chickens, it's a fire hazard and with them being fully feathered they will stay warm.
Just turn the vent on for like 15 mins every 12 hours. Or like sun up, and 30 mins before sun down
Nice job on all the prep work for the animals.
I don't remember if you mentioned in which area of the missile silo you will be creating a space for the animals. 😏
I mean the four-legged animals, not Jake and Banjo. 😉😂
