  • This is my 2004 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 that I removed the baffles from it's muffler/exhaust system. This is how it sounds now. Harder to tell on video, but it's much deeper and resonates much better than the stock sound.

    Did you have to jet the carbs? I like it. Sounds good. I am considering doing the same.

      I have a 600, and i did it to one of the pipes. Didnt need a rejet. But im not sure if you'll have to do it when both are cut out :)
      Hope it answers your question.

      If you dont jet the carbs you will end up with blue pipes.

      According to the video's description it's a gopro. It's the most common cam used by riders

    Did you just drill the center of the baffle? Or did you do the holesaw mod?

    • @ZeeDuke
      @ZeeDuke  Год назад

      Initially i made a hole through the baffle but it didn't make much of an improvement in its sound. I ended up drilling and removing the baffle with a hole saw & vice grips, and it improved the sound greatly. Only removed the one baffle at the end of each pipe.

      A hole saw, will do the job and a pair of need nose players to pull the baffle. But it may decrease hp

    did you do any re-jetting?

    • @bub1683
      @bub1683 2 месяца назад

      exactly my question too, one year later. Is it necesary to re-jet?

    • @erichouck9487
      @erichouck9487 2 месяца назад +1

      @@bub1683 Well I didn't use a whole saw but I used a 7/8" drill bit and drilled out the center of the baffle out. It gave me a little better sound without being too loud. A Shadow will never sound like a H-D. I started with a 1/2" and went up from there, pulling the plugs out and inspecting them to make sure I wasn't running too lean. I also live at 5,000', and no re-jetting needed.

      @@erichouck9487 Thank you for your answer. Ever heard of those other who did the same, is re -jet not necesary?

      @@bub1683 I posted a couple videos of what it sounds like, but the sound from a GoPro isn't that great. One of my riding buddies that rides a H-D said that it has a bark when I get on it

    I'm sorry my friend but you have to learn how to shift that spirit, that transmission y diferent, I had a couple of those bikes and the space between gear is big , so you can't shift, you have to wait for the engine to go down in rpm, anyway you're burning clutch, but you can do it, the thing is that that bike is not like a sport bike or some other's cruiser like, let say a Honda magna or shadow 750 or a Vulcan, take care my friend an blessings from Puerto Rico
