Nick, you have the best coil build tutorials on the internet, big homie. No bullshit.

Nick provides the best explanations for his work and really takes his time to make sure his methods are explained concisely and completely. This, in my personal opinion, is the best method for staggering. I've tried it all, buttons, dual spools, and this works the most consistently and provides spacing just as accurately as the dual spool method. I spent a year and a half building every day, and I ended up taking a couple of year hiatus. I wanted to get back into it, so the first thing I did was to watch nick's tutorials to get back into the groove. Thanks, Nick for all your hard work in helping the building community.

You just solved the staggered riddle for me !! Not binding the end and letting the claptons move is the ticket. My 1st build was a nightmare but came out good....it was luck apparently. The one i just did looks like yours. Thank you brother !!

Thx for the explanations, helped so much!
2 cores is just so easy n fast, giving good coils tho.
3 cores is tricky, glad i achieved it, so worth the patience...
Staggered-fused are underestimated imo, not much efforts for strong n effective coils.

I'm new to vaping and have just bought my first RTA. I knew that people made their own coils from bought wiring, and then I started seeing videos about them making their own wires, too.
I saw this video recommended, and, at almost an hour long, I thought I'd skip through and stop at the "good bits". It turned out that the _whole_ video was "good bits", and I watched, greatly impressed, from start to finish! I genuinely found the whole thing quite cathartic. 😎
The patience, concentration, and eye for detail, not to mention the eyesight required to be so skilled at producing that gorgeous-looking end result, is more than impressive... it's clearly an art! And the glamour shots at the end... 🤌👍
I fear that you may have opened up, what looks to be, a very deep rabbit hole, one that I'm best avoiding... for now! 😄

I'd like to see a video on why you choose a particular gauge wire for a certain application.
I know that the really small stuff like 38 and 40 is good for wrapping for flavor, and I know strength and playability plays a part. can you talk about this next live feed?

Great tutorial Nick Easy to follow. I'm getting a Daedalus Pro coiling Jig as my eyesight is getting a bit iffy to do claptons and staggered claptons anymore. nice twisters, fam..my mission today? since nurses and cna ladies are in and out all day, i know one of 'em has to have a hair clip of that specific kind up on top..so i'll need one. i'll have better luck having someone buy me a pack at walgreens. being stuck in bed is a bitch, to say the least..but i get around it somehow usually. i hate using this avid artisan drill because it sits so low, that there's really no way to hang anything heavy to make the spacing gaps. it's kinda what keeps me from really getting busy with most of the great builds that you share with us. lovely build D83!!

    Nick
Could I build a framed twisted wire coil staggered style or would the twisted core interrupt the flow of the clapton process. What if the cores were 28 Ni80 twisted tight as possible but the frames 24g kanthal as to have more space just above the core wire? Is it possible or not practical? Let me know your thoughts. Parallel twisted wire 2 cores fused together with 40g ni80 is one of my favorite coils to enjoy. Flavor for days. Good on regulated

Excellent video. You are amazing at making exotic coils. I am ok at making my own coils. But I wanted to ask you about a reel of wire I bought which is staggered fused Clapton SS. It's thick wire but when I try to wrap say 3mm there very springy so what's the best way to get rid of that. Could I use a lighter to take out the springyness? Normally I would just pull the leads tight and screw them down but this is for a postless deck. Let me know what you think? Thanks bro 👍 keep Safe and Well Done 👍😉

    • @ndevine83
      @ndevine83  5 лет назад +1

If u want a 3mm coil, wrap it around a 2.5, so when it springs out u have a 3mm, it's how I do most twisted wire, because they are springy, hope that helps

@@ndevine83 this had me rolling 😂 Codie, if you don't wanna build them yourself they're easy to buy and support amazing people like this renowned artist and long time contributor to the vape scene. If you have the patience and you are good with your hands, building them yourself is relaxing and ultimately insanely cheap. You can make coils like this for pennies and they vape like a dream and last forever. I spent 3 hours wrapping alien framed staples last April that I'm currently using now and they're just like the day I installed them and still hit like a dream. Most claptons I have used and more basic builds get gunked up or fall apart after a couple of months but those staggereds will last ages if correctly cared for
