- This video, we're building a $50 Budget Okinec Ahau commander deck. This is a deck that needs very little budget to pop off and become an immediate threat.

I'm a huge fan of Sovereign Okineau! I really love to run it in Shalai and Hallar decks too... It can do HUGE damage with Shalai and Hallar
Oh yea! That's a great deck to put it in. Hmm, think I'll add Shalai to the budgetless version for more protection. Good idea!
Maybe [Faithful Watchdog] would work well with all the +1/+1 buffs and payoffs this deck has to offer. Very good tech tech!
Holy shit that's so good!! Gonna update my budget list now
Thanks for the deck teck. This deck looks slick, even at budget! Keep up the great work!
Thanks. I had this made back when it was first released. Should have posted it sooner. Glad you liked it
This video has made me wanna try to build this commander. I generally make budget decks and was thinking of what I could add, what do you think of Awakening of Vitu-Ghazi and Colossal Dreadmask? Thanks for making the video, really enjoyed it!
Awakening of Vitu-Ghazi is good but not my playstyle. Never been a fan of turning lands into creatures unless I can protect them. It makes them more susceptible to board wipes and more single target removal. Colossal Dreadmask and the other "Living Weapon" equip are actually really good in this deck. Creating a creature in the beginning and a buffer when you need it. Not sure what to remove for it though.
Surprised i didn't see [Hardened Scales] in a +1/+1 counters deck. But otherwise, randomly was suggested your video on my front page and i really enjoyed it. :D
Hardened Scales is really good when starting off the +1/+1 counters. The numbers are negligible. However, once you have 5 or 6 counters before Sovereigns attack trigger, Branching Evolution puts in significantly much more work; as well as Vorinclex. Doubling Season is pure overkill. Hope that makes sense
Cool video. I’m surprised you didn’t mention kami of whispered hopes.
Not terrible and honestly a much more budget friendly version of Vorinclex. However, if I'm going to add a creature to give addition counters, then Vorinclex for me is where it's at and Branching Evolution does the same thing, but harder to get rid of it since it's an enchantment. Though with all that mana, a Tooth and Nail or other big spells could be much easier to pull off. Def gonna consider this. Thank you.
