When my worx wx242 screwdriver arrived, I was apprehensive, I didn't know I had to press the power button, the manual came only in Chinese... then I managed to fully charge the battery with the USB-C cable on my smartphone charger! I confess... that I was about to return it! Congratulations, excellent review video, I believe the current model is as good as renowned brands...like Bosch Go!😊
Like really you needed a manual to figure that out? Like bruh it's a simple screwdriver, there isn't a bunch of buttons on it for you to figure that out
Thsnks for the review! same like you i have the original. And thinking of an upgrade, I've used and abused it so much that it's coming apart and the torque button selector fell off, but it's still working. For info, on the old one if you long press the torque button it shows you the battery level
A couple of reasons why I didn't buy the older version has been addressed in the new one and now I'm annoyed I can't find it anywhere in the US but I have to have it now so china gets my money.
Thank you for the review. I have a question regarding manual torque. Does manual torque stay at 8N.m regardless of the torque setting even at the lowest? The lowest setting (1)has 0.15N.m torque and if the clutch stops during manual tightening, it will be very annoying.
That’s a good question I don’t think there’s a manual tightening for high torque application I want to say the bit spins. I will say the clutch is actually very good for getting a precise torque. I’ll test it out tomorrow
@@bluecollaredctech3823 Thank you. I bought this for small applications as well and I want to tighten the screws manually at the end. But the clutch stops me from tightening at the lower settings so I was just wondering.
some good improvements on this one and I like they include those smaller bits.
out of the many Worx WX series unboxing videos, you are the only person who explains how to remove the drill bit. Thankyou!
Of course no worries
I had the same issue thank you for the video I almost damaged it trying to remove the bit
@@michaelshippi7492wow both of you must not know tools that much for you to not know how to remove a bit from a locking collar
@@adamthomas1222They’re bots, what do you expect?

If you hold down the torque button on the 240 it'll reveal the battery level
Ha good to know. Thanks!

It’s definitely worth the upgrade. The battery life so far has been great compared to the older model
Doesn't matter how you go about it, China will always get your money.
Nice review, thx man.
At 8:06 when you checked the new wx 242 you said the old one 😉
Nice... I get mine tomorrow
How can you tell if one of these is a knock off? There are many sellers on Ali express with pretty much the same images
did you have a chance to compare it to bosch go 2?
wx242 has a huge problem with USB fast chargers, usb plug is heating over 80 celsius, use only "normal" chargers !
worx wx242 or bosch go2 better?
In my personal preference I love this cause it's using a modern type c to charge. The Go2 still uses micro
does it have a mechanical clutch?

According to the specs I've read both the WX242 and the WX240L can handle a total torque of 8NM (70.8 inch lbs) when hand tightening.
