Hi Maria. Yes, many of them do, though I can't find a specific list of them. You could try digging through the Cambridge Exam site (not allowed to leave links here, unfortunately) or, better still, contacting any university you are interested in and asking them directly. Good luck with it.
It is my pleasure. I would definitely go for the CAE as 7.0 is a clear 'Advanced' score (CEFR C1) at IELTS. Best of luck with it! Let me know if you would like to visit us at ICE for any help preparing for that, of course.
Thanks for the comment, Matt. It will depend on the student's level. The student needs to do a level test and a consultation with an experienced teacher before enrolling on a preparation course. It is not necessary to take one exam before the other. Do let us know if we can help. All the best.
Hello Tim, thanks for sharing your information about these exams. Last month I got 7 in Ielts test, which was more than I needed for applying an English language degree. Now I'd like to begin to study for a Cambridge certification. Based on my ielts score, what would you suggest me to study for, First or CAE? Thanks, Deb.
Hi Rafael. Not necessarily. In the exam listening you can come across speakers from Australia, the USA, India for example. The Writing and Use of English section tends to be British English as it is a British exam.
Hello Tim! Thanks so much for the information, it really helped me. I just have one question that I hope you can help me with. Do British Universities accept international students that have the CAE? Or must they have the IELTS? Thank you!
Hello Tim Thx for the good information. I'm actually preparing to emigrate from S.Korea to Australia or Canada. I got Cambridge FCE already. But As far as I know IELTS is more essential than FCE or CAE to emigrate to somewhere. Is it true?
hi I am in an upper intermediate level.I want to study access course next year. But my english is not enough.Which course do yo suggest me to lift my english level up.I like to do FCE..Do you think it is right for me?
Is it possible to go straight for CAE exam ? or we have to pass the FCE first ? (I can't speak Eng well as you may noticed ,but I need to know it for sb else)
