I remember when I was a kid Tanger Outlet was just being built. On RT 1 south there use to be a Ponderosa or Bonanza Restaurant with a white horse in the front lawn. Matt, right where you said the bridge on RT 1 south is the beginning of Dewey Beach there use to a old motel called The Dolphin Motel. Downtown use to have a store called Everything 99 cent store. Kinda miss old Rehoboth with less traffic and street lights!
Hey Matt! I really enjoy driving videos like this, and you made it so much better with your comments. I visited Rehoboth Beach for the first time this summer and absolutely loved it. My friend and I talk about moving there nonstop. Shame this video wasn't done before I went there, I would have love to try some places locals go, such as the beach big surf cantina and rise up coffee. Next time for sure. Cant wait for more driving tours like this
I really enjoy your videos. Very informative and engaging. In this one you mentioned Schell Brothers being a premier home developer. What are your thoughts on Piccard Homes?
Thank you for the kind words! I’m not sure Piccard is still building homes - they built half of a community called Sawgrass which is on Old Landing Rd that I mention in the video. The homes they built in there are nice!
@@MattLunden Thanks for the reply. My partner and I are new home owners in Sawgrass and Piccard built our home. It's a lovely place but in my research I haven't found as much about them as Schell Brothers. But, anyway, I love ReHo and appreciate your work. Keep up the great content 🙂
Yeah I don’t believe they build homes any more. They were originally out of the DC market & the homes in sawgrass are the only ones they did in the area. I think they have another development up in the Milford area. They were a high end builder back when they were still active.
We have a few videos already filmed that will be going out first, but we will film a fenwick driving tour & get it onto the channel within the next 3-4 weeks

Awesome Video Matt! Thanks for the tour! 👍
Thank you for the tour, I recently bought a home nearby and it’s helpful to see the different ways to get around.

Also I remember when the only thing between Lewes and Rehoboth was the Midway Movie center. Farm fields lined route 1.
Just visited Rehoboth and Lewes. This video helped tie the area together for me. Thanks
Hey Jean! So glad to hear it was useful for you. Wishing you the best!
Yay! Thank you, Matt!
More coming soon!
@@MattLunden I'm looking forward to this series. 😊
