In this episode I fully restore the headlights on a 2005 Acura RSX. The headlights go from being yellow and oxidized. To being clear as glass!
this is a sure way to do it cheap and permanently!

I used a clear that uses a hardener and sprayed mine with a spray gun. Results are great however with paint it will chip and fade over time. Nothing is forever. The other way that I like better is sanding with 2000 grit wet, then following a 3 step polishing with my Rupees buffer set up. It looks just as good and I don't worry about clear coat failures and chips in the clear coat.
Literally just bought a 2006 Acura RSX today, and I'm gonna do this for my headlights. Great video. Cheers, from Texas!
It came out looking way better. Good job 👍🏼.
This looks so dope
Good stuff bro enjoyed the vid!
Nice video. Very helpful
For better results use 6-800 grit as first step sanding in side to side motion, next use 1-2000 sanding up and down removing all the previous scratches, next finish with a 3-5000 doing the same thing as before (use a light so you can see the scratches better) after you clear coat you want to wetsand again to get rid of the orange peel look, then follow up with a polish to get rid of the haze.
Thanks for a great video, will be doing this on my daughters DC5 soon, Cheers from Australia!
Awesome all the way from Australia! Thanks for the love!

Just use transmission oil bro
Yo! I did my 06 same way and I noticed a lot of tiny cracks on the lens after clear coat dry, you think it will buff out ? lol.
I did it on my 06 rsx and I think it came out pretty good, I still have a little haze but I think its from inside the headlight.
Nice bro.! Send pics bro @bimmer_bose on instagram or facebook lol
This is clean though
Thanks bro 🙏
Do you need to reapply the wax after a carwash or overtime?
Yea every time you wash your car
I usually wash my car and then give it a coat of wax everywhere including tail lights head lights, and glass
Will 800 grit do in replacement for the 600?
Yea i think you can make it work its just to remove that ugly yellow layer the super fine sand paper is important to keep the surface smooth when you paint
Do you thing this proses works for the tail ligths same acura rsx?
Yea it should as long as the outer lens is clear and not colored
Never wax fresh paint until 3 months, paint takes very long to fully cure even when baked, solvents escape still and wax keeps those solvents in, and can lead to small pinholes and imperfections occurring in that timeframe
Thx for info, but he did say he is doing now just to show for video.

😍🤩😍
Whats the purpose of the inner bulb, i see it never turns on mines clear your is red. I dont know the reason for it.
Wait wax or polish?
Ps, can you be specific on what wax or polish you used.
Inner bulb is blinker, middle is high beam. Not sure if this is what you meant but yeah
Los Pitufos k
How long will this last?
Yeah, nah. I'm pulling the headlights. The result was good though.
yoo man i put to much clear coat and it ran down. anyway i can fix this?
Let it dry fully bro and try again that's all you can really do try sanding it to a fully smooth surface again
@@BimmerBose so start over at the 400?
Yo can I wash my after I do this ?
you can use a mosquito repelent and does the same results withs less effort and time
Which mosquito repellent?
