    I do similar things to this, I collected some wine corks then sliced them up and stuck them to card they make good irregular marks within the circles, I think as artists we have to use what we have! Also if you use something softer beneath your paper when trying out your tools like a foam pad or gel plate it will help with the impressions of the tools :)

    I genuinely enjoy how you push limits with potential tools and techniques, and further how you share your experience of putting them through their paces! I loved all of the results, of course some more than others based on my preferences. I can see how well this sort of experimentation aligns with an attitude of curiosity, asking “what if?”, as we challenge ourselves as artists. As always, thank you for sharing!

I'm working on what I'm calling my "Family Archive Project"...I want to experience and share some of the energy of those who have come before me by combining photographs, letters, newspaper clippings, fabric and other wearables via collaging and printing techniques...using both natural media and digital printing. • @LouiseJannetta
      @LouiseJannetta  2 года назад +1

      Sorry, it has taken a while to reply. The blue string or rope was just nylon rope; the finer stuff was nylon fishing twine but probably for sea fishing as it was thick and robust. My partner fished, and he was chucking it. I seal the stamps with diluted PVA, which is non-soluble once dry. It is reasonably safe to use PVA glues that are used in woodwork, but best to read the properties or usage of the product.😀Hope this all helps X

      Hi Karen, no, I use watered-down acrylics, which I sometimes add acrylic medium to bind the pigment. However, if diluted acrylic is used on an absorbent surface, like paper, the pigment is absorbed, and the binding medium isn't necessary X. Many thanks for watching X😀
