Tikka T1x rimfire rifles are designed for small game hunting and training. T1x shares the same mindset, it has to be accurate in every situation and under every circumstance like its bigger sibling T3x.
    KEY BENEFITS
Silent prey - silent hunter. Comfortable shooting with less noise, compared to centerfire rifles.
Be one with your T1x. Minimized recoil gives you the perfect moment to fire.
There are no shortcuts to the top. It's just about the number of repetitions. T1x offers cost-efficient platform for practising and hunting.
Security brings certainty, two-position safety, blocking both the trigger and bolt handle. Clear indicators for safety and firing pin status.

T1x owner here I have about 2000 rounds through mine since buying it this winter. I have been very happy with it so far, I have had maybe 4 failure to feed in all the rounds I’ve shot. I dropped mine into an MDT oryx right from the start but it will shoot pretty much anything 0.5” for 5 rounds at 50y. Mine quite likes the cheap federal auto match 10 shots into 0.76 at 50y!

The T1x has a 45 degree bolt lift, one of the reasons who it can cycle quite quickly.
Removing the plastic insert in the stock does help things out on the accuracy front as well.
I've been shooting mine in NRL22 for the last couple of years and it loves a diet of SK Long Range. 10 rd groups in one ragged hole all day.

Richard -had a Tikka T3X-CTR stock when I put my 223 in an MDT chassis. The CTR stock has a nice higher comb height and really free floats the T1X barrel all the way to the receiver, used SX-LRM and CenterX at 100yds and got consistent groups below 1MOA in moderate wind.

Great video. Many same any T3 or T3X trigger fits into these. Also, you can register the rifle online with tikka, upload your proof of purchase and you get an additional year warranty.

cheers from italy! i got the 17hmr, and shoots really well, but, i had problems with the barrel touching the stock, solved by removing the plastic support in front of the action and working with sand paper the stock to get a complete free floating barrel. It got better by adding an adjustable cheek piece and the vertical grip from tikka, not to mention a timney trigger. For me is a very cheap and funny toy but need a little "love" to put out the best. Nice review btw

T1x owner, I got best results from SK Rifle Match. I missed when you stated the distance but in my testing doing 5 shot groups at 50 yards average for 3 5 shot groups was .42” with a best of 0.34 and at 100 yards average was 0.81 with a best of 0.65. They will shoot!

Thanks for doing the Tika review, i have had mine for 3 years now with about 20k rounds through and using the same chassis that you have and the yo dave trigger spring, I regularly have the feeding problem that you were having, mine is almost always on round number 6 and once i fix it i carry on with no problem, my question is i noticed you had the aftermarket magazine ,15 round, and i was wondering if you had the same feeding problem when using that magazine, i would certainly get one if it fixes the problem , keep up the great videos !!

I was waiting for the comparison of CZ and Tikka from you... could not choose... so at the end picked up Bergara B14-R (steel) closest to voodoo i can get in europe, I like big boys size of magazines, its quite good... so far it likes GECO 22LR rifle... (1111 Fps) Cant compare to any other rifle, but i am very satisfied... 10 shot group, one hole of approx. 1.5 cm in diameter.. I find better test to be BR50 standard target... I get mostly 10 and 9, occasional 8 (could be due to different angle of the rows... Shooting through A-TEC Wave carbon and its outside hearing safe, even for supersonic ammunition.

1:16 1/2* twist is a key factor , also are them at 50 yds? the worst averages ive seen from a tikka, im assuming your at 50 yards but hoping 100 yards, my tikka shoots .20-.30 @ 50 with eley match and eley tenex ofcorse it took lot testing and with my EC tuner im shooting .05-.15

Owned my T1X for 3yrs now with over 2000 rds fired and only issues I had is the ejection spring fails to fling out empty case. Might happen once in 200ish rounds.
I agree stock is rubbish but throw it into an aftermarket stock and it comes to life precision wise. SK brand ammo for the win with mine. Like lasers @50m.
Bro, no wonder your pin snapped! Have you not heard of bolt face maintenance 😂😂😂.. eeeeek!
Also the odd miss feed in urs would be a magazine spring/follower issue. Get a new mag.

yep best value for the money, but considering you only need 100 round for a match its worth bringing the good stuff. my last matches the stores were out of what my rifle liked so i had to used CCI SV and i performed middle of the pack. then again even if the ammo was partially responsible i dropped the ball on a whole stage..... sooo

What couple of scopes would you recommend for an M40A5 I'm assembling. It'll be a full custom. I'll be reloading my own 308 match ammo that *should reach 1000-1200 yards before going trans sonic. Obviously, this isn't a hunting/plinking rifle lol.
That being said, I'm looking for a higher end scope. I'm budgeting about $2500 max for it.

It's acceptable, not a tack driver, and i tried many types of ammo. Hornady 17gr cci a17, gamepoint, and cci fmj have been the only ones without accuracy issues. I also clean my barrel often and the proper way. Feeding is the casing neck that catches the edge of the barrel. Tikka redesign them im not sure if the issues are solved on the new model. My most accurate 17hmr was savage b17 F, but quality is not there like Tikka ... I hope that helps. The Tikka is not a deal breaker.

Unfortunately this kind of testing is ironious if you don't season the barrel with a few dozen rounds of the next ammo test ammo. If you don't season the barrel each time you do an ammo change, you'll end up with the hodgepodge results through out the testing you got yourself.

Anytime you switch ammunition in a rimfire you need to shoot about 10 shots through it to get the wax from the different ammunition types in the barrel. I noticed quite a few ammo types where one group was larger than the other 2. Maybe that larger group was the first group through the rifle after switching ammo!?
