- It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into The Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy. Season 3 arrives June 3rd, only on Prime Video.

Also Butcher was already overpowered for a human and now he is a supe. But seems way more powerful than he was in the comics.

As someone who’s only watched the show and not read the comics, I KNEW Butcher would become a Supe eventually even if for 24 hours. Only way to beat them is to join them!

Homelander is literally a heightened version of Eobard Thawne while Butcher is a heightened version of Ultraman.

I’ve never seen ultraman but I’ve read a lot of berserk I see a lot of Guts in Butcher, from the way they were brought up,they’re both *regular* guys going up against superior being, to the evil grin. Maybe that’s just me. Oh forgot the big one but the main villain ummm doing something to our hero’s partner…

it seems that there is more and more character with abilities to compete with Homelander. I'm not saying they have the same level as him but apparently they are powerful enough to complicate his task because they are more numerous. On the other hand, I wonder what the point of Homelander's son character will be now since Butcher now seems powerful like Homelander (maybe not as powerful) but it seems like he is now a real problem for Homelander. What role will the little one play then??? Before we could have said that he would be the only one to end Homelander's life because he is perhaps as powerful as him but he needs to learn to master his powers as much as possible like his dad. But there Butcher seems to have taken this place in the scenario.
