My wife and I started this game last month on a whim and it's been surprisingly fun for a fairly watered down Fallout experience. The survival and exploration are better than ever in the series, but the writing and world consistency takes a nose-dive. The addition of NPCs is nice, but they stick out against the original design like a modern addition on an old house. We found a lot of these tips the hard way over a month and a half of playing and it was bad enough that we both started new characters so we could start with a knowledge of what we were going to build towards.
A good thing to do for new players is to check the suitcases anytime they visit a trainstation, people dump their unwanted ammo, scrap, plans and even legendaries in there. I do and i have found a lot yhat way to.
Once found a paper bag outside a train station in the swamp filled with 32 technical data, a couple of legendaries, and an insane amount of fusion cores. Almost didn’t pick it up cause I thought it was hacked loot.
Mutated serum recipes are a must if you buy a lot from vendors. Just one serum will sell for 500 caps if you have 15 charisma and hard bargain perk equipped. It's good to have a loadout just for this. When I get close to the 40k cap I often buy up the recall cards for encrypted and most lead, steel and acid bulk. Being able to sell serums to get back some caps is huge. Also I'm always sitting on 100k to 200k ammo this way I can use or sell which usually gets me back up to the 40k limit in short order.
I remember my first time leaving the vault. After running around for a bit to collect resources, I started to build an ugly ass starter camp. While I was mid-building, some dude dressed as Santa Claus showed up and dropped a ton of Ultracite PA plans, some Stims/Radaway, some Nuka-Cola Cranberry, and a ton of bulk Wood and Steel. Don’t remember their username, and I don’t think I’ve seen them since, but whoever you are.. thank you Mystery Santa. From the bottom of my heart: thank you. Now I always hang out around Vault 76 to give new players what I like to call “Free Starter Packs”. 15 Stims, 15 Radaway, 3 Nuka-Cola Cranberry, 4 Random CAMP plans, Level 1 Leather Armor (Chest and Arms), and 10 of any Pre-War food items. It’s always so adorable when they want to thank me, but they don’t know how to use emotes yet, so they just jump around and move their camera up and down. Even though this game does have issues, bless this game’s community.

You could do a Settler/Raider Reputation tip video. There's a few more ways to increase them with the last couple updates. Like, the event "Eviction Notice" = Settler Rep, "Moonshine Jamboree" = Raider Rep. The faction person that you give Esme's stew to will boost the corresponding Rep. In Rocksy's daily mission there is a dialogue option to send the Former Raider to Foundation and gives Settler Rep. For the Raiders, there is a location in the SW corner of the map along the river where you can bring them Mirelurk meat to get Raider Rep once a day.

Im trying to get back into it, and its incredible how much its changed. Im making a new account, because it straight feels like a whole different game than I remember.
If your farming reputation ther are many places on the map where raiders or settlers will be attacked by random enemies. If you fight off the aggressors then talk to the raider/settler they will award you with a small amount of rep. Slocum Joe's is one place that comes to mind.
This is so helpful! I didn’t even know Settlers and the Brotherhood were in this game. 😂 I played it very briefly when this game first came out and I’ve only recently picked it up again. So much has changed since then!
awesome, only been through the whitespring mall like twice, and never picked up on all the vendors as thought they were empty shops. Time to load up on plans
Much appreciation for making this video. Newer players like myself, since it came out for free on PlayStation, are flocking in and need direction - so this helped a lot. Thanks bro. You helped me out even more than my friends lol
I hope this channel never ends and keeps spreading happiness.❤😊 This vid is already a classic I can't wait to tell my grandkids this was the greatest youtuber of my time.
With all the buffs and bonuses of joining a public team don't forget that joining a private team is an option. Not only can you control who joins your team you can build at your teammates camp. This is good for helping new players get established.
I'm just starting since it was free to play on playstation for the month of January, not gonna lie, it's pretty fun and I appreciate these tips not only you, but what other people have posted on helping on weapons, weight management, etc
Another tip on fast traveling for free is to always choose a location's interior. The Rusty Pick, Foundation, The Crater Core and Fort Atlus interiors take less time to load than their exteriors and you'll be fast traveling to your destination sooner.
Yeah I think it's a good idea to make a little update for the tip video cause all the new content that's been layered on the game over the years, I bet it can be overwhelming at first.
Don't get overwhelmed by the mass content and you actually level up quicker than you think if your doing events and quest. Not to long ago I did my first scorch queen fight with the server and it was amazing.
That mall is perfect for people like me who carry 2 tons worth of cargo to and from salvage/scaaver zone to base camp, plus a perfect spot for scorch beast mats and other goodies near the fissures. Not a bad spot to hit up if low on supply either, just remember to be polite to the others and not be a nasty or antagonistic personnel.
Just started a character since I saw it on game pass, I've only played fallout 4 and 3 a little bit but so far I'm loving it after a few hours in. Some random guy dropped me a gift box I guess it was and I couldn't figure out the emotes lol but he seemed to find it amusing, heard the player base is pretty cool so can't wait to experience this game more and figure it all out

Legendary mods. Do not spend any bullion on them for weapons or armour. Just do all of the events. I have a complete set of every power armour on overeaters. YES. I hate bloodied. You could probably chase you weapon, but I guarantee the second you get your perfect weapon. It will drop.
Here is a tip. DO NOT LEARN EVERY PLAN. when you learn a plan for a weapon or piece of armour, the main plans, not the mods. It means that when you complete a quest, an event, a daily or OP. Your loot table is polluted by that plan. Oh look I just learned the plan to make 'a random piece of armour'. Now that random piece of armour is the the only thing that drops...... DUH!
I finally made my return yesterday and look forward to making some badass camp builds again. Thanks for the info! I need to relearn the game again lol 😂
My biggest piece of advice is to just take your time, slow down and read/listen to all the little lore and dialog bits you encounter. Don't try to rush to the "end game content" you're not missing anything. That said if you want to gain exp faster having a higher int stat gets you more. Even temporary buffs.
I haven't played 76,as my PS 4 has been laid to rest, new one coming soon and will be posting my own videos, your content has been great from the beginning ,thank you.😅
I just got back into the game again after I gave up before (op griefers destroyed my base as a level 5 player..) and I'm still learning all this. rebuilding said base near the start vault for new players with no health or ammo. hope to help them start better than I did :,))
New player here. Appreciate your tips! On ps4 myself, I have a buddy and my old lady joining too. There's quite a bit to do I'm excited to try it. Any helpful tips he missed I'd welcome it. Have fun out there!
When it comes to buying plans with Gold Bullion, keep an eye out for the wandering merchant Minerva who sells certain, rotating plans at a discount. This can save you some valuable gold over buying from Vault 79. Also, when buying legendary armor or weapons from the Rusty Pick, you only have a chance to get legendary versions of items that you already know how to craft. I do not believe this restriction exists on legendary items looted from enemy corpses. As you play, consider not learning plans for weapons or armor that you do not intend to use, as you might end up wasting some legendary rolls before getting something you actually want.
I really get a lot out of your vids. I have gleaned lots of tips that make the game a lot more enjoyable. On a personal level the lead tips have been very helpful. I used to run out constantly. Do you have any tips for fusion cores?
Using fusion cores is a problem unless you have the perk card associated with them, I think it falls under intelligence or endurance (could be wrong on both accounts), as far as I know you only need a fusion core when you are in your power armor, so, limit your time in power armor, doing events, scorchbeast, test your metal, moonshine jamboree for example, If you plan on 24/7 usage, consider building or acquiring better suitable weaponry, equipping perk cards that match your character loadout, upgrading current power armor or just going for treasury notes events to convert them into bullion and get either secret service armor or stealth suit to travel around the map until you need to get into P.A.
In the beginning collect them from any fusion reactor or random power armor suits you come across. Focus on having one suit in the beginning and put all the best armor pieces on it. Sell or break down pieces you don't use. When the power armor goes into your inventory it only counts the base weight of the suit which is 10 lb instead of each individual piece attached to it. Once you get high enough levels you will want to take over one of the power plants two of them I know of let you create power cores after you claim the powerplant workshop. You just have to build generators to power the machine that makes the cores. The perks reduce amount of energy used for most of your power suit actions which gives longer life to each core. If you can afford it buying the monthly fallout 1st subscription gives you a core recharger that will let you keep up to 4 cores charging at a time.
Just got back into the game ..after its terrible balancing ..you know being lvl 145 and getting killed by a lvl 60 assault tron or a lvl 100 glowing whatever ..is no fun ..now it seems balanced ..as a melee build and not the best perks the Chinese stealth suit and the face breaker are fantastic farmed and crafted like 40 of them I play it more like a survival game ...and the double damage sneak attack gets me through tough times ... Its fun again ... The community has gotten better as I do daily ops with people that carry me while I stay in stealth getting sneak kills lol ..good times 👽👽🤘
I just started playing Fallout 76 after playing most of Fallout 3 & 4 and I am loving it~ but one major question that was answered here was "What do I do with all my legendary gear that can't be scrapped like the normal equipment?! Ita just sitting there wasting my precious carrying threshold!" 😂
A great way to get easy XP is when you get to the Brotherhood of Steel questline. Without spoiling it, there's a quest where you have to take on Super Mutants. When you get to the spot where you fight them, DO NOT continue with the mission objectives. Let them keep spawning, shoot them once and the BoS people will kill them quickly. They do NOT stop spawning, and at level 50 I was getting 100+ xp per kill. I just wish I brought more ammo, cuz I had no idea I could do that. I recommend bringing a lot of cheap ammo and yeah literally just one hit everyone and they'll literally do the rest for you and you still get XP./
I just started playing fallout 76. I've played 3, new Vegas and 4. New Vegas is by far my favorite. Wasn't to optimistic going in but I'm having a good time. @@mcluvin28x early on in your lower levels you have a choice of what type of weapons you can deploy, rifles, shotguns, machine guns or energy type weapons, certainly you can use both but each group of weapons will need a specific type of scrap to to make the ammunition, this can be a guide to what scrap you collect, but, collect everything without overburdening yourself, use scrap boxes infrequently as the scrap your junk and store it automatically.
@@diveranger100 ...Thanks, I learned the useful tool of Bulking scrap last night & I cleared up so much storage space, never knew how useless gunpowder is lol, and how heavy steel can be, also learned not to hoard Power Armors (had like 4 chassis stored) A level 70 gave me a sick automatic handmade rifle w suppressor & it has helped me TONS. I now only carry 3 guns opposed to 5 when I had crappy guns lol
I usually play private world but when I do occasionally go to public I usually just help new guys with quests and drop them loads of stimpacks and ammo
Side with foundation and you get the Chinese stealth suit plans. Literally the best decision I’ve ever made.
Chinese Stealth Suit, you say?
FOUNDATION FOREVER!!!!
I remember first time leaving vault and its nice to see new players coming to make the same memories i been helping them rank then at lvl 50 i give them guns some legacies to set them for there journeys
Haven’t touched the game in a year or so haven’t been caught up with everything involved with the NPCS so thank you for sharing updated stuff definitely helps new players plus players getting back into it!
Im glad I watched this. I played the game right when it came out , and grinded till around level 57, and at that point the game just felt frustrating with the glitches and I wasnt sure what else to do.
Thank you so much for this. I'm a veteran Fallout player but new to 76 and got to say, I learned quite a bit here. Thanks.
awesome, only been through the whitespring mall like twice, and never picked up on all the vendors as thought they were empty shops. Time to load up on plans
Much appreciation for making this video. Newer players like myself, since it came out for free on PlayStation, are flocking in and need direction - so this helped a lot. Thanks bro. You helped me out even more than my friends lol
I hope this channel never ends and keeps spreading happiness.❤😊
This vid is already a classic
I can't wait to tell my grandkids this was the greatest youtuber of my time.
That's right Jesus wins
I’ve been having a blast with 76 as a new player I’m on everyday
This is the best beginner video I've seen. Thank you.
Thank you. I started playing 4 days ago and this covered topics none of the other new player/tips videos (that I have watched) did
With all the buffs and bonuses of joining a public team don't forget that joining a private team is an option. Not only can you control who joins your team you can build at your teammates camp. This is good for helping new players get established.
I just came back to FO 76 after a few years of. Thanks for the new tips!
I know this video took a good amount of time and editing. I appreciate your time brother. Loved the video thanks a ton.
I'm just starting since it was free to play on playstation for the month of January, not gonna lie, it's pretty fun and I appreciate these tips not only you, but what other people have posted on helping on weapons, weight management, etc
I only just started playing again every time I’ve tried I only got to level 20ish. Never knew about white spring so already this video is great for me
Another tip on fast traveling for free is to always choose a location's interior.
Taking a break now, thought I look up how to play abit more, very enjoyable journey so far, I enjoyed the video, helped a lot thanks ❤
Don't get overwhelmed by the mass content and you actually level up quicker than you think if your doing events and quest. Not to long ago I did my first scorch queen fight with the server and it was amazing.
Thanks for the video! I found it very informative and useful as I’ve only just started playing this game the last couple of weeks.
I haven’t played the game in yrs now I’m back and I’m still subscribed to you
Love your vids man, made me come back and have been enjoying it with friends
That mall is perfect for people like me who carry 2 tons worth of cargo to and from salvage/scaaver zone to base camp, plus a perfect spot for scorch beast mats and other goodies near the fissures.
Not a bad spot to hit up if low on supply either, just remember to be polite to the others and not be a nasty or antagonistic personnel.
New player here…where’s the med kits 😂. Also, where is a good place to ask new player questions? I’m just a few hours in.
Just started a character since I saw it on game pass, I've only played fallout 4 and 3 a little bit but so far I'm loving it after a few hours in. Some random guy dropped me a gift box I guess it was and I couldn't figure out the emotes lol but he seemed to find it amusing, heard the player base is pretty cool so can't wait to experience this game more and figure it all out
Lots of help in these. Sorry I didn't go to the Rusty Pick sooner but I was holding off on advancing that storyline. Now I'll definitely visit it.
Really like the vid. Very handy as a new 76 player. Btw, what's that smoothass song in the background? 4:10
I have play every fallout game
Even tactics
I wanted multiplayer in a fallout game since day one but my heart was broken went all the news about the game been buggy and non playable
I just downloaded i am a level 7
Playing with my friends i am now 25 years old i am have never cry of joy like this i feel like a kid is like a dream come true
Thank you for the tips
Cheers from puerto rico 🇵🇷
Legendary mods.
Do not spend any bullion on them for weapons or armour.
Just do all of the events.
I have a complete set of every power armour on overeaters.
YES. I hate bloodied.
You could probably chase you weapon, but I guarantee the second you get your perfect weapon. It will drop.
Rifle gaming also taught me so much in this game hes the OG god of fallout so take his tips as the best
DUH!
New players: melee is your friend! Worry about ammo after you're lvl 50. 😎🤙☢️
I finally made my return yesterday and look forward to making some badass camp builds again. Thanks for the info! I need to relearn the game again lol 😂
I Just started last weekend and the community is amazing on Xbox.
My biggest piece of advice is to just take your time, slow down and read/listen to all the little lore and dialog bits you encounter. Don't try to rush to the "end game content" you're not missing anything. That said if you want to gain exp faster having a higher int stat gets you more. Even temporary buffs.
To access the vendor in the Crater, the Vault mission has to be completed.
I haven't played 76,as my PS 4 has been laid to rest, new one coming soon and will be posting my own videos, your content has been great from the beginning ,thank you.😅
In case you didn't know, it's also free to keep for Amazon Prime members
Happy to see you creeping so close to a mill bro you deserve it
I just got back into the game again after I gave up before (op griefers destroyed my base as a level 5 player..) and I'm still learning all this. rebuilding said base near the start vault for new players with no health or ammo. hope to help them start better than I did :,))
hoping these vids help me relearn and just learn in general
Ayee I some how ended up in the introduction 💀 0:22
LOL I DID NOT KNOW THAT THERE WERE OTHER BULLION VENDORS! I thought that Regs at Vault 76 was the only one, thanks!
i just picked the game up after buying it some time ago i have to this was priceless didn't even know 90% of this info, Thanks man
I didn't know half these things! Thanks Nalgon
I’m glad 76 has some awesome new content coming soon it’s about time
I have been playing a long time and this is good info.THANKS!

New player here. Appreciate your tips! On ps4 myself, I have a buddy and my old lady joining too. There's quite a bit to do I'm excited to try it. Any helpful tips he missed I'd welcome it. Have fun out there!

Great vid importent Information helped me a Lot. Thank you very much ^^
LOVE your videos! Thank you man!
i’m going to start playing it soon, i’m looking forward to it with all the youtube content here
When it comes to buying plans with Gold Bullion, keep an eye out for the wandering merchant Minerva who sells certain, rotating plans at a discount.
When I started and she told me to get to level 20 I was almost level 10, by the time I remembered that quest line I was lv 109
Same. I started playing when The Mothman Equinox was first added to the game, and that event took me from level 12ish all the way to level 140ish.
Late to the party, but thank u for the tips.
Dude you sound like Jay Baruchel of Fallout tips and tricks. Lol great content and thank you for going in depth for newb ass players like me!
"Free Fast Travel" locations!
Me, who just spent 89 caps bouncing around the map on a quest: . . . 😐
I'd argue that the Whitespring firehouse or flatwoods would be a better place for newer players to utilize for crafting.
came for the information. stayed and liked for the Philly accent
Fall 76 is currently free to play on the PlayStation store for the month
Yesterday a mummy came down too Nuka shine and gave me the thumbs up. I'm new
I just started playing fallout 76. I've played 3, new Vegas and 4. New Vegas is by far my favorite. Wasn't to optimistic going in but I'm having a good time. I'm also glad I waited till things were much better. Especially the addition of NPCs. Not having any really made me not interested in the game. I'm glad it's turned into a good game. Looking forward to playing for hundreds of hours. Maybe thousands
I’m level 50 now and have just been exploring from the start, I didn’t know any of this lol
I bought a fusion gen from one of those vendors yesterday.
