    I love pickled turnips; they are my favourite part of shawarma.

      Ohh yeaa!! Tell me about it. It's like the butter on bread. Pickled turnips and shawarma go hand in hand ✋ 😋

    I like these ate at a restaurant, last year I made for holiday diner they are good! I hope to use fresh grape leaves next time because I have a vine in my yard will that be good for your recipe?

    • @armenianandmiddleeasterncu5745
      @armenianandmiddleeasterncu5745  2 года назад +1

      Oh yes it should be ok. But the secret is the one in a jar. Because the flavor of the grape leaves is more because of the vinigar. But you can try it with fresh if you like. They sure are delicious 😋 😍 enjoy dear.

      @@armenianandmiddleeasterncu5745 I thought it also helps keep them crunchier. At least that is true for fermented pickles.

    Where can I find the small green pickles for this preparation I live in an extremely non diverse area where Kirby pickles are hard to find. I like to be true to the ingredients my question is more of a general question as from what I have seen mezze is served with almost everything in the middle eastern culture so I just wanted to get ahead of the game

    VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION: WHY DISTEALD WATER ONLY?

    • @CaliforniaLu
      @CaliforniaLu 3 года назад +1

      @@armenianandmiddleeasterncu5745 OK that's what I thought. Because I use boiled water. I always have distilled water in my home, I use for appliances. thank you for the info , you learn something new everyday! everybody makes these pickled turnips and beets a little bit different . I like to try everybody's and recipe. again thank you so much I truly appreciate it.

      Theres a youtube feature that allows you to replay videos at .75 or even .50 speed, it's on the bottom left in the little gear thing named settings and then it's playback speed.
