Congrats 👏 Xr's collection getting bigger.. even wife is happy with new purchase😄👍
Thank you ye it’s getting busy in the odb workshop now. I’m very lucky she always supportive for my bikes 😀 thanks for watching 👍👍
Congratulations...the 400 is my favorite of the XR’s for my tight woodland trails...
Always a special bike for me as it was my first big bike after getting my licence many yrs ago 👍😀
Must have been a good deal indeed!, look's very nice at first sight!
Maybe sell the Suzuki and concentrate on the XR family! :)
It was , not often I get good deal . Usually pay to much and then they have problems😂. Was thinking of selling dr but I get attached to them I know it’s silly as I hardly ever even start it but it’s had many new parts and ready to ride .😀👍👍
@@OldDirtBikes Sometimes it is fine just to look at the darn bike's isn't it??
Bought a second XR600R a few weeks ago, it is a 1993 model in SM trim and rebuild in 1985 style!
Don't know if i will keep it but i will post a vid. in a while!
@@gti20vtMarcel I often just look at them😀. Will look forward to your vid 👍👍👍
O, you look a bit sheepish around your misses but so happy you got a 400 it looks like a good one enjoy my friend 😊
👍 thanks I’m lucky she very supportive of my hobbies.
Nice looking 400 you got. I really love my xr400 it's so light and nimble. Glad to see you got one
Thank you. Haven’t fully checked it out yet but seems good , I forgot how nimble it feels as I been riding the 6. You have brb to?
I’m buying back all the bikes I had new or nearly new when I was in my 20’s taken a few yrs but i got there now.😀👍
I sold my 650r.. already 3 bikes in the shed when I bought the xr400 so the 650 had to go. Did love it tho but the air cooled 400 is more my style and with only 3k kilometres on the clock my 400 is a bloody clean bike
@@robertglen5484 only 3k it’s like new keep it forever 😀. There was a time I could only afford my dr350 it kept me on 2 wheels in harder times so I’m finding it hard to part with it . I forgot how good the 400 are such a pleasure to ride👍👍👍
Going for the full set mate.
Can never have too many :-)
I wasn’t ready for a 400 as got a lot going on but it was to good a deal to pass by , as it’s in good condition and was only 10min away from me . My mates fault he was out riding on weekend and that was in the group he was with they got talking and now it’s here 😀
@@OldDirtBikes nothing wrong with that mate.
Always fancied trying a 400.
Be good to see you out in the hills on it.
@@losttheplotcolin yes I’m looking forward to using that one thinking of using that one as my main off roader and the others just for light green lanes, and ornaments 😀
@@OldDirtBikes Not a bad way to invest your money, much better than the stock market.
Around 1990 or 91 I bought a 1986 XR600R on the road for 1600 Quid.
What's a decent XR650R gonna be worth in 10 years?
Keep the Rubber side down mate :-)
@@losttheplotcolin if only we could turn back time . My first BRP I bought for £2200 and it was only 3yrs old and sold it to a mate for £1200 ! 🥺
Ye money in the bank is loosing value everyday now .
Awesome ! That is super !
I was so happy to get lights working . Bikes feel alive for me when the lights come on . 👍👍
Just realised my comment was ment for other vid oops.
Fan friggin tastic😍🔥💯👍🎶
Thanks set complete back to restoring BRP now . Hope more vids soon .
I'm jealous! Wish I never sold my 400... Was mint condition. Would love a 400r again plus a 600 alongside my 650r... One day... Prices are ridiculous though.
I’ve be lucky to get them back but did not come easy. I set myself a goal to try buy back all the bikes I had in my 20’s took me 3yrs and many hrs in work
Your right prices are crazy now they cost nearly the same as they were new only differences is they are wore out 😄 now and I am . Hope you can get your collection, thanks for watching 👍👍👍
I've owned, and unfortunately sold all 3 of those bikes. If I could have just one of them back, I would take the 600, that thing could get traction on an ice rink, plush suspension and an incredibly comfy seat.
That’s a very similar situation I found myself in . I had the 400 new in 2000 and a 650 nearly new in 07 . biggest mistake when I sold them fast forward to 2017 I decided to buy them back ( not the exact ones of course though I did try with 650 as I sold it to my friend and he still has it )
🥺 then I was shocked with the prices !!! They were as much now as I had payed for them new or there about only different was they are now worn out
Or should I say were . I agree with you the 600 what a bike perfect for me it’s my favourite. I was lucky to find that one , I payed a lot for it but it is 1 owner low miles and had no off road history 5k from new . Hope you will be able to buy yours back to 👍thanks for watching 😀
Rode a few xr 400's, they decent but lack soul compared to the xr600 and xr650r .. you can never have enough bikes none the less ..😂🤣😅
Yes it’s good to have a spare , the 6’s have a very unique character to them 👍👍
@@OldDirtBikes you be joining us on the Welsh trans European trail soon then on the 400 lol
@@Rust_valley_adventures wish I could but my riding days are over ☹️ can’t ride or stand for long, injuries …
Mormon?
Na just a hobo 😄
