i made this project 5 years back, the trigger/sos button was hidden in watch/ornament that you are wearing. its easy to activate the sos via external trigger than to reach out for the device in times of emergencies. Improvements: 1. Battery 2. Sleep mode: to save battery life 3. A high pitch buzzer to alert the nearby people 4.Save the latitude /longitude on a ftp server to track the location later and many more which i implemented in my project

Hi, finally you did and it’s very nice. This project will be more fruitful if few changes/ additional features like setting geo location alert which sends the sms to mobile application if the vehicle moved from set geo location and need some inputs to find engine starting and stopped condition, inbuilt battery low level sms, and outputs like can immobilise the vehicle when command from the application if needed. And the important is all data like apn can we update OTA like what you did previously entered credentials in Blynk OTA.... my requirements may be added more but those or worth to added. Sms is good feature, but you can make another blynk virtual pin and give it value either 0 or 1, and make an app that has maps or gps navigation software implemented, so when value on that v pin is 1 which means it's emergency, the app could send the notification and when you open it navigation is already started without you having to find the maps and then type the coordinates. I'm overthinking this simple invention, probably sms with ready coordinates to copy and paste is enough 😅

In emergency times, it is very difficult to long press for contact other people..... It should be design to make call and msg without being a long button press on project board...

what battery i can use instead of lithium polymer 3.7v battery? lithium polymer is kinda dangerous when it's getting hot, and i need to put that gps device on my bag so the battery might getting hotter in that bag

If I'm in the room then it should not turn on the buzzer. But if I leave my room ...like no motion detected for more than 2 minutes then a buzzer should ring. I'm unable to get the pir to work properly. So u know what to do ?

instead of sending Lat long as SMS text, you can also send a map link with lat long params. Opens directly in map.
