One of the first things I changed on my ‘92 E34! I even did it while my 5-month-old sat in the driver’s seat lol. Your video was super easy to follow. Next up, the resistor! Thank you! 😊
@staceythurston6213 @staceythurston6213 Thanks! :) I've already done the resistor on one of the many other episodes on this channel. I believe it was towards the middle of the roadtrip preparation video on the e34:) Thanks for watching!
If you haven't done this already I wouldn't bother. I just tried this on my 95 525i and there isn't a cabin filter in that spot. Not saying it isn't located elsewhere on the car, but it's not in the spot shown in the video for our specific model, so save yourself the hassle and frustration of dismantling it only to find nothing.
@@LeroyJenkems69 well, its advisable to check on realoem if you car has it. Afaik mid 1990 till the last e34 all have cabin air filters. Only the early ones dont
@@DailyDrivenClasssics Did a bit more digging through ancient BMW forums and it turns out my RHD car has the filter on the drivers side and the process is entirely different for changing it out. Fun.

Omg this filter exists? My mechanic insist my E34 ‘95 525i didn’t have one and I never had it changed
@@roxy725 probably because he didnt want to do the labor 😔😅. Just DIY it filters are cheap :)

It might be because mine is a RHD car though, not sure. I hadn't thought of that.
