I started doing this when you posted it on Instagram: it's a great warm up. I found that drawing your hand in front of a mirror get more variety in the hand pose. :)
Please do more in-depth tutorials like this! Im a novice. I'm learning to draw piece by piece (eyes, mouth, arms, etc.) and your style is my favorite I've found out of all the RUclipsrs I'm learning from. More step by step work to follow of yours would be a dream!
Today I learned people still wear watches. I mean it's probably normal.. I just haven't left the house and seen actual other people in real life in like 2 months. Every day is suffering. I eat beans straight from the can over the sink. If I'm feeling luxurious, I might throw some folded bread crusts in too. But yeah cool video. I've started trying to draw my hands recently too and I never realized how hard hands are to draw.. They're so weird to me that I went from the confident sweeping lines I had before, back to the scared chicken scratchy lines from when I first started learning to draw. This video should help. Thank you.
I just want to say thank you for showing and telling us about these tips, I enjoy that you give a few different options about how to go about it. I look forward to another great video.
I just recently got me a wacom mobile studio pro 13 and I love it. I come from the traditional side and I've never dabbled in digital art before only heavy editing in photoshop. and your videos help alot m8.
I really need to do this cuz I really, really REALLY suck at drawing hands!!! And facing a blank page can be so daunting too...the pressure of what to draw...how quickly you're gonna fuck it up (if you're me). Warming up is such a great idea!!!!
you're so pleasant to watch and learn from. you remind me so much of Mark Crilley's tutorials that I used to watch when I was a kid. you should keep doing this, I still rewatch some of your tutorials!
thanks for the video! I've always start my warm up with figure poses, it never crossed my mind on warming up on parts that i need to work on. THANKS!!! :D
Are you a mind reader or something? I hit a stump not too long ago(I think it was on tuesday?) where I just struggled drawing hands, it made me feel really unmotivated cause I couldnt do it right. Days after that you posted this, wow youre a lifesaver!
Great vid! I draw my hand everyday on the bus to and from work and it's really helped me improve. However I struggle with proportions and they often look quite stout haha, really like how you draw yours This vid was really cool to see how you sort of rationalise different shapes compared to how I would - will be trying your tips
I really like listening to you and watching you draw~ it just helps me draw XD it's honestly better than regular music because I lose focus when a song I like comes on and break into song all of the sudden and drop my pen XD
Hello! I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on arms! I'm having lots of trouble, and most of the tutorials I watch, don't explain it very well.
Ahmed!!! Could you please do a tutorial for drawing heads in perspective, like a head looking up or tilted to the side? It would be such a big help to me! regardless i love your channel and thank you for giving me a love for art and drawing, keep up the good work! :D
thats a joke right? XD actually boobs are quite easy to draw, it's just a droplet like shape and the important thing to know is how gravity affects them (at least for natural ones).
the comment was a joke, but my struggle with a breast is reality. I understand basic principles, but there so much variables(size, tilt of body, type of clothes), it hard to predict form. So i love and hate boobs simultaneously) ps. checked your channel you have some nice art there!
can you make a tutorials on animating and the best soft wares for it? and another video about the best app for digital art on android? there is a lot of them and i'm confused which is better to begin with it btw are you an arabic? 'cause your name :) i wish you make more videos in arabic version if you know the language
Sorry I don't know much about animation - so I can't answer what the best programs are for it. I am a mix, Iraqi and American, I don't speak Arabic well enough to make videos in that language
Yay, glad the scissor arm is working out for you.
Oh hello there Sinix xD
Sinix!!!! 😱
The tip about drawing the negative space instead of the fingers themselves is really helpful. Thanks Ahmed!
I started doing this when you posted it on Instagram: it's a great warm up. I found that drawing your hand in front of a mirror get more variety in the hand pose. :)
Great idea!
I have a bad habit of skipping warmups. "Practice with what you're struggling with" was exactly what I needed to hear, thanks Ahmed!
It's super hypnotic to watch someone draw hands like this. It's also super useful, thanks !
Definitely my favourite art channel out there

If anyone is trying to figure out the brushes he's using, I believe that is the elusive Bic mechanical pencil, 0.7mm. Happy hunting.

Thanks for sharing, thats awsome
I like this type of your videos!) Please, if you don't have enough time for youtube, do more live streams on instagram while warm up😢 best wishes😙

Yay! Thanks man.
I think KJG said that this is his warmup as well, except he uses random reference pictures with different objects.
This was a fun exercise. :)
Bless you child.
Every time you said pinky all I could think was "pinky and the brain" xD
Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?
My fingers are doubled jointed so my fingers look really bony and deformed... any tips?
I was sketching while listening at 3 am and the end of the video scared the hell outta me lol
In the industry do they give you time to warm up or are you expected to come into work warmed up?
