They have you just uninstall then reinstall and when it asks you where you want the game to download to you can chose where, not sure if people know this I found out while watching this video.

for anyone confuse why the game reinstall again although you did the exact same steps in the video, please check the "Downloads" section in Epic Games, it probably just verify your game, 0 download speed is the proof. Confirmed, this method still working.

I did this while there was an update queued so obviously it needs to download the update but I am not sure if it is just downloading the update or the full game none the less I will post an update about which one it turns out to be in case any one else runs into a similar situation

This is reason why i usually avoid buying games from Epic store , Steam has this useful feature of moving game to another hard drive. Thanks for your tutorial i was running out of space because GTA 5 installed by default in C drive and i wanted to move it to E drive
@@Siebe-ps9gz What fucks it up for me is if I mess up the Fortnite.Old and Fortnite folder thing. Make sure to copy your Fortnite.Old to your desired Fortnite install directory before installing a fresh copy from the launcher. After that just follow the steps 2:08

Well I tried the same, although after moving the files, when I launched the game, it says unable to open bigfile.000, and I can see only the welcome screen
Thanks for the tutorial but man the Epic launcher sucks to have to go through all this, they need a simple move command like Steam has, this is a real p.i.t.a if you have several large games, it's one of the reasons I would buy on Steam first... even GOG you can move your game folders, tell it to scan and it will pick them up once you tell it what folder... come on Epic, make your launcher do more than have a way to put a store in players faces.
I did it like this but then it tries to reinstall the entire game again even though I had it installled but moved it to a different drive same day, the game files were up to date but still wants to reinstall everything.
