Water your mums from the bottom. Soak them in a bucket of water for twenty minutes to make them last.
Perhaps consider adding some floating shelves to one or both sides of your stove to display your decor.

The wooden screen doors on the porch are so cool! They are so unique, and a statement of their own.
I use flameless candles and lighting to make my home cozy and warm. I use timers to have them light up at dusk and glow through the night. I also go to a local farm to buy mum's and gourds-I don't buy pumpkins because the squirrels massacre them!!! Thanks 😊!!
The flameless candles are actually a great idea because my son hates the smell of regular candles, and he’s always blowing them out
I have 2 tips for contentment:
1) Notice - I try to use my senses around my home as the seasons change...I look at the details, the colours, I feel the textures, I listen to the sounds of my home, my children, my dogs, the fabric of the building, the sound of the water in the faucet, I notice the smell of each room, of the linens and I taste whats in my refrigerator with real focus. It keeps me really tuned in to how my house feels with all 5 of my senses. Then...
2) I Choose Gratitude - I make a conscious decision to see how fortunate I am to even have choices, I'm grateful for the privileges and freedoms of my culture, so grateful for my husband and healthy children and beautiful dogs.
The more I notice and keep choosing to see how grateful I can be, the more content I feel. ❤

I haven't been watching your videos because I just found U today but thrift shopping is a wonderful way to stay on budget and I can find such adorable things and U give things a new life . I love to find things at my thrift store in my small town and I make things with some of the stuff I find. I get clothes there also , beautiful clothes for me and my family.

We have also had some hot days hanging in there! But it changes with what feels like the snap of a finger! And then its cold the rest of the fall!

I love all your fall decor! We’re still having really hot weather here in SC so I haven’t purchased any mums or pumpkins. I like that yours aren’t blooming yet. I learned my lesson last year when I bought one already blooming that they don’t last as long.

Great tips. Since we've had a heat wave, i haven't been in the mood yet for fall decorations. I usually do my mantel in the living room and maybe the dining room table. Blessings to you.

Love the soft touches of fall colors and when you spanned the room...showing the finish...it just looks so natural...not really decorated up...but warm and almost effortless. I plant my own pumpkins. I plant large pumpkins that I can cook down to freeze puree but first I use them for decor. I also started planting ornamental mini pumpkins last year. So fun for decor! And I get so many for a very little of money.
I may have to try this next year if we expand our garden! They just take up space I'd rather use for something else 😊
I have 2 large gardens so I have no problem giving up space. I could also expand almost anywhere as we have 20 acres. It is so, so cheap to plant your own. I also give the extras to my laying hens and they love them!

I keep my seasonal decor to a minimum. I tend to just purchase functional items that I enjoy looking at. If it's not functional I tend not to want it in my home.
Can you share where you found that adorable granite looking coffee pot next to your electric kettle. I also saw that you poured water into that kettle with another type. I love stuff like that. TY in advance
