    Many people are already complaining that getting a good signal for the mower is very hard. If you've got even one tree on your property, people are saying on Amazon they're having issues getting a lock. They're also saying that the front wheels get sticks stuck in them. Just an fyi.

  • @journeyon1983
    @journeyon1983 Год назад +1

    A larger version of this would be more effective, I think. You'd also think that razor blades would wear out pretty quick cutting grass with twigs in its path, leaves and other debris. I'd be interested to know how often do you have to change the blades. Is there a height adjustment or fixed cutting length of the cut grass? My property also has a road in front with a length of 120 feet or so. I hope this doesn't run out into the road and cause a traffic accident. What about that danger? Lastly, I can't see the point in the grass catcher attachment as you'd have to babysit the mower a lot. In my situation, that grass/leaf bag would fill up in 20 seconds or less with all the trees I have.

    • @FrugalRepair
      @FrugalRepair  Год назад +1

      A bigger version would mean a bigger battery, etc. maybe they will come out with one. I haven’t had it long enough to know how long the blades last. If you have the path set and don’t move the antenna, it should stick to it. The leaf collection bag is something you’d just need to plan to empty regularly (assuming it’s cleaning regularly). So maybe not what you want if you have tons of leaves. I think for a smaller yard like mine it will work well.

      It doesn’t have to be bigger because your not pushing it and the only reason to have bigger mower is to go back and forth less times also those “ razor “ blades are hard carbon steel the blades on your mower are mild steel the difference is huge so the blades should be ok also smaller blades are cheaper to ship so buying replacements would be easier

      @@Justthemow Okay, gotcha. I have about an acre and a half of lawn to cut on a 3.5 acre lot. The rest is used for crop growing. That's why I was hoping for a bigger version of the one you showed. I'm in the market for a new lawn tractor when I stumbled across your video of this electric mower. I'm still considering it just so I don't have to do the job. I certainly like the concept of what it does and how it works. They put a lot of thought into making this. I was happy to see the anti-theft part built into the system. That's a great selling point. Thanks again for posting more info to my response. Have a good day.

    • @FrugalRepair
      @FrugalRepair  Год назад

      I don’t think so because the mower can go to the front yard and the antenna is in the back yard. The house would be blocking it. I think it could be an issue if the communication was blocked or there was interference. I asked ecoflow to put an advanced option in the App so you could see signal strength data. I found that it’s hard to know where the best antenna location should be when there are trees and houses around.

      If you have the money to spend to be lazy, why not? I work overnight and pretty far away from home and would rather not set off my allergies on the days I'm actually home. I can't go outside without a mask while lawns are being mowed without having an allergic reaction (still have one, but not as bad with a mask). Now I can make it work overnight and I'd get to enjoy my yard when I'm off rather than being stuck inside avoiding my lawn like the plague. I was considering getting a riding mower (my yard is huge, hopefully the mower can do it all...) and wearing Goggles and a respirator to mow the lawn. But I'd probably bring grass back in the house with me on my clothes... At least here I dont have to deal with the freshly cut grass. I moved down south and my allergies are way worse here. I used to be able to get away with skipping days I didn't go outside... not anymore.
