I know, I flipped out when she joined Nightwish (I'm assuming that's the band you refer to)...I always loved After Forever and got into ReVamp recently
What a great singer she is, and not only this, I appreciate her great personality, very humble and kind, I love her - not only because of her voice, but also because who she is.
She has the same expression as Malena Ernman; that of someone who loves what they're doing so much they just can't keep from smiling, even in technically challenging parts. A joy to watch and an honor to hear!

The whole song is on a higher note than the original, and the overlapping voices singing different lyrics kinda ruins the song. The guitar and other modern instruments were an interesting take on the piece, but it sounds 100x better the way it was written - with Old World instruments. Imho, i'd say this rendition is an interesting change and pace,and unique, but certainly not as good as the original. Just doesn't feel as powerful to where it gives you goosebumps like the original did.

Agree with everything you said, the origional gives me goosebumps every time i stumble upon it every couple of years.
It really hurts to see such a beautiful song butchered by a lacking orchestra.
Floor however did a fantastic job.
