To this day, I still wonder how many of the mail-away Bart figures actually made it into circulation. I've never seen one in person at any collectible store or convention. This is one figure I wish I would have mailed away for when the Simpson figures were released. I had most of the set and enough proofs of purchase to get one, but never took advantage of the offer. Oh well. Great video as always!

Seeing old footage of the Star Wars figures on pegs makes me seriously emotional and nostalgic. Those really were the only toys I was into back then and not having a lot of money, I’d spend a lot of time thumbing through the pegs and making my choice.

I love toy history especially when it comes to classic-vintage toys lines! Some or maybe many special promo toys with coupons might be really rare now,and while back in the day wasn't so popular this might be their time to shine through online markets etc! As always a nice trip to memory lane man thanks for the good times!

After mom saved up 5 upc codes for me, I sent away for it and thus began the excruciating wait for the Emperor to arrive!! I remember having a Death Star hangar type display in my room w/stormtroopers, biker scouts, tie pilots, commanders and Darth Vader himself all awaiting the Emperors arrival but no luck so far!! Well, long story short a few months later me and my family went on a 2 week vacation and when we returned home I remembered my dad going through the big pile of mail that had accumulated during our absence, he called me over with a BIG smile on his face and a small box in his hands.. I began to hear the Imperial March song in my head!!!😆😆😆😆

I mailed away a mumrah but they told me I wasnt eligible because I was living outside the contiguous US states.
Same thing happened with other stuff, like the Gi Joe ones. I think Mace Windu was also a mail away. Marvel famous covers had the aunt may mail away doll with a coupon. You could also get a she hulk in the same way. Kraft had a massive history of it and I still have my Uncle Scrooge, gave my ex my whole ducktales, darkwing duck and rescue rangers sets. She adored Disney afternoon, but I kept Scrooge. because I loved the NES game. also still have the animated superman and I sent for 1 for a friend and the batman for another friend of mine. it was 3 dollars plus the proof or purchase. This brought a rush of joy over me which I needed. These toy filled days were the best time of my life. I only have 2 family members left and those who passed would take me to stores and I would windowshop like crazy, I make customs now of the heroes I grew up with for fun, great video. ( also not a mail away but) there were rare toys you could get from filling out sticker albums which were crummy. I have a foot tall Leonardo ( the best one , vynil) from the album that featured 3d artwork and glasses. the stamps were often stills from the show. I had MASK and thundercats and a dinosaur one you could trade in for a vynil Dino.
