I wish twilight town was more explorable especially the mansion. & scala...& world of departure...& radiant garden...& destiny island. More original worlds for KH4 & beyond.
I think the issue is more so having to create a reason for it to be there that would justify the long loading screen besides “go here to get this info then leave” that happens a lot in kh for the original worlds and probably the main reason we have the gummi phone as we probably would go to radiant garden for those interactions kill a few heartless that show up and dip out.
KH3 is honestly one of those games where I think quantity over quality would've actually been better (i.e more smaller Disney world's to explore as opposed to less open sandbox world's with nothing to do in)
Every KH game seems to have loads of cut content. Not necessarily a bad thing tho; just disappointing we didn’t get such content. The Jungle Book world in BBS for example.
there was also an area at the end of the world in the first game that we were supposed to get as a final battle with riku before we fight ansem, but it was left unused in favor of a boss fight with chernabog and an enemy gauntlet where we fight multiple heartless before we can reach the final rest area
It does sort of make sense though. There wouldn't really be too much to see since the worlds in the realm of darkness that Aqua went through aren't there anymore.
we all know the problem of KH3, everyone says pretty much the same: It felt Short. It Needed More stuff. More Content. More Story. It needed to be longer.
This game started out as an final fantasy spinoff, would've been nice to see FINAL FANTASY character in it, especially Leon/Squall. I get it that they try to be their own, but would've been nice if they were feature in the game
It's really great to look back at all cut content for this game now that it's been out for a couple of months. But I definitely agree about twilight town. Hopefully the remind DLC does fix some of this stuff.
I wonder if the first idea for the whole thing about Rex "mistake" Sora as the mc from a video-game, wasn't something kind like a fourth wall break, where he would be talking about a KH-like game (that wouldn't be KH, but the characters were really based on Sora, Donald and Goofy...) but, then, they decided to add Verum Rex... I mean, if you think about it, Sora looks nothing like Yozora ^^' ... and even the game seems a little off in Toy Story world... we have all those old-fashioned toys, like was in the 90's movies... and this game that looks like something from the current generation ^^'
There are many things I wish Kingdom Hearts 3 had in the end, many of which you spoke of. My biggest one though is Scala ad Caelum being explorable, such a fascinating world
you never mention sora in chess game room in the unreleased 2.5 launch event trailer for kh3 which is in scala which means the world would have a bigger role
"they didn't want to pad out the game with it" They sure wanted to pad out the game with useless Disney worlds where Sora did absolutely nothing and it meant literally nothing since Ventus just tells Sora he always had the Power of Waking.

Trust me in Kingdom Hearts 2 I use mysterious Tower to grind to high levels several times and when I played as Roxas I did the same thing and station of Awakening! Those guys really need to get their act together if you ask me :-( and by those guys I mean The Ungrateful Kingdom Hearts fans that call SmallWorlds useless!

Things I wish KH3 will implement via update(s): Option to turn off the attraction attack. More game play as Riku and Aqua. Exploration of the "Dark World", "Radiant Garden", "The Mysterious Tower", "The Land of Departure" and more of "Twilight Town". Drive Forms and their subsequent abilities/leveling up. Any of the Final Fantasy characters having some kind of appearance, even if it's a short cameo.
I think square just wanted to show combat in familliar location that was mostly done by the time trailers were published and that's why there is so little emphasis on non scripted fights in the final game
kh3 was a good game but it was a bit disappointing like THIS MAY BE SPOILER ISH, not a lot of worlds, no reason to re-visit ie enter a world and beat a mini boss then having to go back to beat the true boss, like in kh2 (the only reason to go back is for collectables) frozens world was lacking, no final fantasy characters except aurons name being mentioned once and a slight nod to ffxv and most importantly WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO DEMYX???
I loved the game but I can't ignore the problems it has. I would not say it was a disappointment but it wasn't what I was expecting. Plus no Final Fantasy characters kinda blows.. Still purchasing the DLC though
What about the D23 Expo 2013 trailer that never got released outside of the event? That had scenes like Sora entering the room with the chessboard and the full cast all together, including Namine. Man, I really wish they released that trailer, even now the full game's out and in a different engine...
The Re:Mind DLC is obvioulsy have a lot and a lot of content that should have been at day one but was cut to pay again, like we never got to know what happened with the "Lingering Will", a big and obvious plot whole.
honestly i feel all this cut content weren't teasers for the next game, take scala for instance at one world premiere square shown sora walking around scala more specifically the chess room YX and eraqus were in. Hate to say this but it seems square just rushed out kh3. any interviews over the years nomura and his co-director talked about how they worked on the luminous engine, only for square to say mid development switch to unreal 4. All the assest that were "cut" were probably meant to be in Kh3 but since they had to scrap it and still make their 2018/2019 release date osaka team had to make do with what they had.
Really wish disney didn’t force them to chop up the Frozen level. Worst one in the game except the boss fight that in itself lost all its stakes with the rewrites
There's also a sliding feet first ability that Sora uses in a Jump Festa 2016 trailer in Twilight Town. I really hope it and other new/old action abilities come alongside Re:Mind 🙏🏿. Gameplay was majorly lacking them

Christian Longo D23 is worthless without Kingdom Hearts imho. Kingdom Hearts is becoming an ever expanding franchise, and you can thank Mr. Nomura for making that happen. Nomura has made it sound like Kingdom Hearts isn’t just his project anymore but that of the osaka team, and whoever else worked on this game. Plus you do got more disney involvement by having Pixar give over assets to character models. I feel like Disney just has a bias when it comes to video games and specifically “Japanese” games like Kingdom Hearts. They may promote it “sometimes” but I don’t think they really care about Kingdom Hearts as much as their “Star Wars” and “Marvel” franchises.
It was clear from the get-go that D23 was going to end up focusing solely on the Disney+ programming and the future of Star Wars and Marvel, but the little references to KH at the voice actor panel were a pleasant surprise. (Cont. in next post)
The voice actor panel had Bret Iwan, Bill Farmer and Tony Anselmo talking (in character as Mickey, Goofy and Donald) about wanting to do an autograph and photo op session and Bill remarks "D'ya think we should've worn our Kingdom Hearts costumes?", to which Bret replies "I tried, but security wouldn't let me bring my Keyblade." Then later, Corey Burton delivers a monologue as Yen Sid, closing with "May your heart be your guiding key".
In the TGS trailer, theres a scene where Xigbar and Ansem are in Twilight Town and Ansem says "if he wavers off the path, we eliminate him" or something along those lines. Where was that in the game?
That was in the first visit to Twilight Town, while Sora warns Hayner, Pence and Olette to be careful around the Heartless and Nobodies. But I think Xigbar was just a placeholder character for Xemnas (I haven't played it since two and a half months ago, so my memory's fuzzy).
They also definitely rushed 100 acrewood , tht was deffo tacked on at the last second , im not a fan of that world in general but the length and minigames definitely was the worst in the series .
I feel like if the world wasn't in the game I would have surely missed it, but the moment I got the book I got flashbacks from the previous games and when I got to the end of the world I was like... wow... that wasn't as bad as I expected, some of the worlds unfortunately have nothing more to offer after being in multiple KH games so I'm glad they didn't try to milk it. I actually wouldn't mind if they bring out DLC where we briefly visit some old worlds even if they aren't entirely explorable just so we can get some sort of update from old friends since its been a while since KH2. Personally the only world I'm disappointed for not getting to see again was Radiant Garden, lets hope Re:Mind changes that.
@@ruggerprogavlar8866 According to Nomura KH doesn't need to rely so heavily on FF characters as it did in the past since the main story line of the franchise was so widely embraced (although convoluted AF) it essentially removed the stigma of the game being a Disney+FF mashup and it now stands in its own right. I can agree with this to some degree, the main plot definitely over shadows everything else especially in KH3. I think that they intentionally left out FF characters to focus on the plot since this game is supposed to be the climax of everything we've followed through all the different games thus far ending the keyblade war/Xenahort saga, I loved how they built it all up and finally reunited all the broken teams (teams Roxas, Ventus and Kairi being the new team), but with such a huge cast of protagonists I feel that if there were FF character involved there wouldn't have been much place for them to actually matter (Nomura also stated they had modeled some of the characters like Leon but in the end just had no place for them in the story). I for one believe (setting myself up for disappointment I know) that with the main plot now out of the way and a new enemy in sight (Master of Masters) the franchise will sort of get a fresh start giving them an opportunity and reason to bring back some of the FF characters and maybe even add in new ones, All we really need to know is if Re:Mind or future DLC will bring back the Radiant Garden and that's how we'll know if the FF characters are there. Somehow I feel like Nomura knows everyone was disappointed by it and intends to have them make an appearance but he also wants it to be meaningful rather than just throw them in because fans expected them.

Sorry some of these things are just not acceptable. You say maybe Nomura didn't want to draw every character or party member for the sprites? He could have drawn one a year every year since dev started and been done. This game is good, but not as good as a game with 14 years of development time should have been. Look at huge long detailed games like GTA V, Breath of the Wild, Skyrim, even just KH2 which had much less dev time and was a better game. The time we waited has to come into account too, especially since the story barely finished it's even more confusing now.
Personally, I waited over a decade for KH3 to come out. I played every game that came out (except the mobile one) between 2 and 3...and I had never had a more disappointing birthday in my entire life, and I spent one in a warzone. The game is ridiculously short (seriously, skipping the cutscenes and still level grinding to max level leaves the game at around 6.5 hours long), the original "super boss" is a joke, there are a few worlds that are just straight rips from the Disney movies, dubbing and music clipped horribly in some spots, some of the mini-games were just tedious and pointless, they removed the FF characters even though having them in the games in the first place is what made the game so interesting to play through, the character models left a lot to be desired and it all just felt rushed. The game felt unfinished, unpolished and was just lacking in so many areas that it was almost sad. And that's not even talking about the stupid ending. I felt like I had been catfished by the whole thing and that isn't even mentioning the stupid weapon crafting system; it makes no sense that there's a system to upgrade Keyblades, it's just more pointless filler for a short mess of a game.
Kingdom Hearts as a whole has become something that really doesn't need ff characters in my opinion anymore. The ff characters of the other games kinda already served their purpose so no need to add them back. Kh is ready to move onto bigger and better things with the MoM,Luxu, and the Foretellers I really don't see why we would need any ff characters in the first place.

It probably wasn’t longer for the same reason as to why Mysterious Tower was cut. There’s not really that much of a purpose to be there

Kingdom Hearts 3 felt more like an advertisement for Disney World and Frozen 2.
It was my first game and I felt like i should have bought the older one due to less worlds.

you can turn off attraction flows in critical mode and you'll be able to play as a lot of characters in reMind

little did we know , the reason Scala had collision in its OoB areas was because they were for ReMind

Square should add DLC summons and characters like Ifrit, Bahamut, Leviathan, Ramuh, Phoenix, Carbuncle, Knights of the Round, Ignis, Noctis, Gladio, Ravus, Lightning, Vaan, Balthier, Squall Leonhart, Tidus, Wakka, Kimahri, Auron, Cloud Strife, Zidane Tribal, Vivi Ornitier, Seifer Almasy, Kuja, Ultimecia, Kimahri, Yuna, Eiko Carol, Terra Branford, Kefka Palazzo, Quina, etc.

Real shame we didn't get new hand-drawn battle sprites because I would've loved to see Nomura recreate Pixar's artstyle.
We have KH3 Sora sprites or hand-dawn artwork. Well, it's nothing like KH2 Sora as Sora is way more pale, but it's something.

The voice actor panel had Bret Iwan, Bill Farmer and Tony Anselmo talking (in character as Mickey, Goofy and Donald) about wanting to do an autograph and photo op session and Bill remarks "D'ya think we should've worn our Kingdom Hearts costumes?", to which Bret replies "I tried, but security wouldn't let me bring my Keyblade."
Then later, Corey Burton delivers a monologue as Yen Sid, closing with "May your heart be your guiding key".
I kinda wish they used the luminous engine for KH3 after FFXV i would like to see that engine used more and what type of improvements it could have

In the TGS trailer, theres a scene where Xigbar and Ansem are in Twilight Town and Ansem says "if he wavers off the path, we eliminate him" or something along those lines. Where was that in the game?
That was in the first visit to Twilight Town, while Sora warns Hayner, Pence and Olette to be careful around the Heartless and Nobodies. But I think Xigbar was just a placeholder character for Xemnas (I haven't played it since two and a half months ago, so my memory's fuzzy).

They also definitely rushed 100 acrewood , tht was deffo tacked on at the last second , im not a fan of that world in general but the length and minigames definitely was the worst in the series .
I feel like if the world wasn't in the game I would have surely missed it, but the moment I got the book I got flashbacks from the previous games and when I got to the end of the world I was like... wow... that wasn't as bad as I expected, some of the worlds unfortunately have nothing more to offer after being in multiple KH games so I'm glad they didn't try to milk it.
I actually wouldn't mind if they bring out DLC where we briefly visit some old worlds even if they aren't entirely explorable just so we can get some sort of update from old friends since its been a while since KH2.
Personally the only world I'm disappointed for not getting to see again was Radiant Garden, lets hope Re:Mind changes that.

@@ruggerprogavlar8866 According to Nomura KH doesn't need to rely so heavily on FF characters as it did in the past since the main story line of the franchise was so widely embraced (although convoluted AF) it essentially removed the stigma of the game being a Disney+FF mashup and it now stands in its own right.
I can agree with this to some degree, the main plot definitely over shadows everything else especially in KH3.
I think that they intentionally left out FF characters to focus on the plot since this game is supposed to be the climax of everything we've followed through all the different games thus far ending the keyblade war/Xenahort saga, I loved how they built it all up and finally reunited all the broken teams (teams Roxas, Ventus and Kairi being the new team), but with such a huge cast of protagonists I feel that if there were FF character involved there wouldn't have been much place for them to actually matter (Nomura also stated they had modeled some of the characters like Leon but in the end just had no place for them in the story).
I for one believe (setting myself up for disappointment I know) that with the main plot now out of the way and a new enemy in sight (Master of Masters) the franchise will sort of get a fresh start giving them an opportunity and reason to bring back some of the FF characters and maybe even add in new ones, All we really need to know is if Re:Mind or future DLC will bring back the Radiant Garden and that's how we'll know if the FF characters are there.
Somehow I feel like Nomura knows everyone was disappointed by it and intends to have them make an appearance but he also wants it to be meaningful rather than just throw them in because fans expected them.
@@11dury tht was normura opinion, but I think he realises now that the reason why alot of people bought the original and 2nd game was because of the guest final fantasy characters, is was devastated when I couldn't fight sephiroth again lol
@@11dury its almost like because they were so focused on finishing the story they forgot about all the old stuff the made the first 2 games so enjoyable like the more responsive combat and the Disney villains , I would have love to have fought zurg instead of a generic giant heartless , or some one on one fights with the organisation, hopefully he listens to the fans fpr the remind dlc .
Sorry some of these things are just not acceptable. You say maybe Nomura didn't want to draw every character or party member for the sprites? He could have drawn one a year every year since dev started and been done. This game is good, but not as good as a game with 14 years of development time should have been. Look at huge long detailed games like GTA V, Breath of the Wild, Skyrim, even just KH2 which had much less dev time and was a better game. The time we waited has to come into account too, especially since the story barely finished it's even more confusing now.

Personally, I waited over a decade for KH3 to come out. I played every game that came out (except the mobile one) between 2 and 3...and I had never had a more disappointing birthday in my entire life, and I spent one in a warzone. The game is ridiculously short (seriously, skipping the cutscenes and still level grinding to max level leaves the game at around 6.5 hours long), the original "super boss" is a joke, there are a few worlds that are just straight rips from the Disney movies, dubbing and music clipped horribly in some spots, some of the mini-games were just tedious and pointless, they removed the FF characters even though having them in the games in the first place is what made the game so interesting to play through, the character models left a lot to be desired and it all just felt rushed. The game felt unfinished, unpolished and was just lacking in so many areas that it was almost sad.
And that's not even talking about the stupid ending. I felt like I had been catfished by the whole thing and that isn't even mentioning the stupid weapon crafting system; it makes no sense that there's a system to upgrade Keyblades, it's just more pointless filler for a short mess of a game.

Kingdom Hearts as a whole has become something that really doesn't need ff characters in my opinion anymore. The ff characters of the other games kinda already served their purpose so no need to add them back. Kh is ready to move onto bigger and better things with the MoM,Luxu, and the Foretellers I really don't see why we would need any ff characters in the first place.
So what? Just making them disappear suddenly was the best solution? I say no to that.
