Pep Guardiola is undoubtedly a good manager. Having the best players in the league at the best club in the country - as he has had with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Man City - does not guarantee that you’ll get the best out of those players. But he is neither a genius nor the best manager in the world, as the media have made him out to be. When he is missing some of his top players and has to make do with players at a slightly lower level, despite still having the best squad in the league, he can lose four games in a row, something that even the much-maligned Eric Ten Hag did not manage to do at Manchester United. Managers like Unai Emery have taken a job at a relegation-threatened club and taken the club to the highest level with few resources. Harry Redknapp pointed out years ago that, if you gave Pep Guardiola the managerial job at Sunderland, he wouldn’t finish in the top six - and he was probably right.
That shows how low your football IQ is. Who do you think will finish top six with this Sunderland? Let me tell you that managing best players is as difficult as you can imagine. I might be misremembering this, but I'm sure a few seasons ago, Liverpool were 5 points ahead of City around Feb March, and they played them at City, so had the chance to go 8 points clear. City won and went on a winning streak all the way to the end and won the title. It's November. Anyone talking about crises and titles at this point is either a fool, or a clickbaiter. I'm a Liverpool fan BTW, so it's not like I want City to win again, it's just realism.
This was the Vintage City who chased it down. Prior to Liverpool opening the gap they had 1 or 2 hiccups but nothing major as they were still performing. The hiccups and flat performances this season are reminiscent of when they lost Otamendi in 2019/2020 and Liverpool smashed them winning the league in record games to spare. So this doesn't look like a comeback. Especially since they did 4 titles in a row. It's enough. 5 in a row and 4 in row won't be broken in consecutive seasons. The premier league is tough, 5 in a row will happen in a much much later stage.
Pep has the best teams and have been the standard stopping my Liverpool but I can’t kill him here. Though I’m not organizing a pity party for them his most influential players in the middle of the park have been missing. Nothing lasts forever
City did not "completely" dominated Brighton. The game was evenly balanced and Brighton played some attractive football. Give credit where credit is due.
Ali is 1000% correct, kova can't never play single pivot and Rico, silver, Phil just passed the ball around, and firstly mancity can't even press high and all their defenders don't want to defend they just snap the player with the ball
They are used to 90 percent of the teams lying down. They have had to play the whole 90 plus every game and they are not mentally or physically tough enough for it
Wrong, it is do with how set up, previously City would play Rodri + another in midfield, now only Kovacic with 4 midfielders higher up that do not defend, causing a depleted back 4 to be totally exposed
Nedam would like to see the question asked to pep but would never ever use the same standard to Bruno Fernandes or a Manchester United manager. A hypocrite.
Ale : Pep must not wait for the Rodri and Co who are injured but find alternative solutions Also Ale: If Toni Kross had come out of retirement just before the El Classico, Real Madrid would have won it. 😄😃😂😆
Coukd Pep take an Ipswich team and make them better? Remember Pep only manages big teams. That's a big difference. He gets what he wants - most times. He didn't win a UCL title with Bayern.
Using injuries as excuses for bad performances for City and Arsenal is just pathetic. It’s a part of the game. Liverpool played through it last season with the like of Ryes Williams in defense and yet, were challenging for the title until about half dozen games. Yet many said they choked. But now you want to give excuses for city and arsenal in order to minimize the performance of another team. If city were winning those games, you’ll be talking about the depth of the squad and how they have players who can come from the bench and change games. With the money the spend on players every season they shouldn’t be giving excuses.
MC are still the team to beat. Most teams go through a period when things aren't going well and this is theirs. The 5 point gap behind Liverpool is nothing. Liverpool will also go through a difficult time and if history repeats itself it will be at the business end of the season when they can least afford it.
All these are maybe/maybe not.....very much subjective. Football is not certainty like 2 + 2 = 4. INJURIES AS WELL AS POOR REFERRING DECISIONS CAN DETERMINE THE OUTCOME OF FOOTBALL MATCHES
That's what all City fans said in the 2019/2020 season when Liverpool smashed it. They lost Otamendi and looked flat just like they do now. Those other seasons they still looked good although they dropped points.
"If I'm Pep Guardiola..." and continues yapping as if he's a better tactician than Pep. Pep will walk the league, He's only in 2nd position and he'll recover.
Pep is second and they are questioning him. Let some of manage a team and we see, they all support arsenal to win the league, so how will that happen if city doesn't drop points..... This media people should give respect
Every year City has this amount of points at this stage of the season....why is there a pretense that this is somewhat new or shocking??? Liverpool had a 5 point lead in January, how did that turn out ???
Where liverpool suffering loads of injury by last January or not? To the extent they feeded kids in the Efl final against Chelsea in Feb of last year. Perspective matters
That's coz it was the old familiar city that could chase it down. They look to flat to do it. The last time they looked this flat was when they lost Otamendi through injury in 2019/2020 and Liverpool smashed them and won the league in record time with 7-8 games to spare.
@adedayooladejo661 the answer is no ....in the game you talking about yes youngster played in extra time but that starting 11 was missing only Trent and Salah....There is no point in which Klopp has had to deal with this level of injuries all at once ....this is what makes the situation worse and unusual.....
@@LlewellynReeve man city has 9 possibly 10 players currently unfit...last season Liverpool had a 5 points lead in January and Liverpool were no where to be found in the title race in the end .... Liverpool has had a very good run of games however the winter schedule will be brutal for Liverpool as well as the run of games to end the season....City getting their players back fit and rumoured to be looking to reinforce in January....if you want to write City off when a Liverpool draw and a City win can narrow the point gap to only 3 is absolutely madness....
@@Rodney231 Apart from Rodri, I don't see any class coming in that coudve changed things in terms of results, they were flat. And rodri is a 6. They look flat going forward. Liverpool played much of last season with multiple players missing injury afcon etc. as youngsters even played but one thing was for sure their was no drop in performance. Again the last time they looked this flat was in 2019/2020 and Liverpool won it. All those years they chased it down it was hiccups not looking flat. It's not about missing players I see de Bruyne, Foden etc. All underperforming this season. I mean for e.g. Foden has only got 1 goal all season. So regardless of players missing he is flat as he creates his own goals. It was never like this previously, even when they had hiccups and chased it down, so that's why I'll only give them a 10% chance of winning it.

Everyone, Alle is right and he is talking ball!
I mean, now we have Alejandro Moreno (with all due respect) giving advises to Josep Guardiola about how to set up the team.....
Pep has the best teams and have been the standard stopping my Liverpool but I can’t kill him here. Though I’m not organizing a pity party for them his most influential players in the middle of the park have been missing. Nothing lasts forever
Nadom good ,u realize what's going on, good speech, giv u a star 🌟 city 4 life
Talk as if man city in man utd position in league. Look how many trophies they have won and stop acting like women there
Do not worry, Pep will surprise you with two great signings in January.
City did not "completely" dominated Brighton. The game was evenly balanced and Brighton played some attractive football. Give credit where credit is due.
First half city did dominate. The second half was mostly all brighton
Pep is that rich guy from school and college who's dad come to pick him up im mercedes 👍
Nadum speaks sense
Ali is 1000% correct, kova can't never play single pivot and Rico, silver, Phil just passed the ball around, and firstly mancity can't even press high and all their defenders don't want to defend they just snap the player with the ball
The key match is Liverpool facing City at Anfield after facing spurs. If they lose both then the league is looking very hard.
They are used to 90 percent of the teams lying down. They have had to play the whole 90 plus every game and they are not mentally or physically tough enough for it
No mention of the 6/7 first team players out injured
Respect guys respect
He won 6 premier league alone
Said with Jose tones 😂
Wrong, it is do with how set up, previously City would play Rodri + another in midfield, now only Kovacic with 4 midfielders higher up that do not defend, causing a depleted back 4 to be totally exposed
Ale please shut up and stop saying if you are Pep because you are not and you can never be.
😂😂
and stop saying Ale shut up, if you got better ideas open your own channel and praise pep, this is football not your favourite birthday party
Crying in the comment sections will not improve your life.
@@dreddmann6532 It’s not degrading it either😂
@@Youdarenot It’s just fact that he can never be in Pep’s position and even if he happens to be there by accident, it will be worst for him
Nedam would like to see the question asked to pep but would never ever use the same standard to Bruno Fernandes or a Manchester United manager. A hypocrite.
Ale : Pep must not wait for the Rodri and Co who are injured but find alternative solutions
Also Ale: If Toni Kross had come out of retirement just before the El Classico, Real Madrid would have won it.
Trying give pep guardiola a choaching advise is wild as a pandit
Not gonna talk about David coote?
Pep doesn't like to substitute even if some players a playing the worst
I've never seen man city get this much attention on espn , they been waiting for this downfall 😂
you are just yapping!
"If I'm Pep Guardiola..." and continues yapping as if he's a better tactician than Pep.
Pep will walk the league, He's only in 2nd position and he'll recover.
YES! Pep should definitely be taking Ale Moreno’s coaching advice, he would be a moron to ignore someone with such a distinguished coaching resume.
Mind games!
Pep is second and they are questioning him. Let some of manage a team and we see, they all support arsenal to win the league, so how will that happen if city doesn't drop points.....
This media people should give respect
Yeah.. Only for City to win all of their last 15 matches at the end of the season
if only 4th was given this leeway when playing Casemiro and kids at CB
They won 4, Cavanah and Tierney gave him 2 of em. Btw, they bought em and not won em
Love two games on still second
you people pretend like chelsea never had a list of 20 injured players....if mancitys list reach those numbers we ill see whether they can compete for top four
All I can say is, Pep love challenges and he'll want to stay more to prove ppl wrong once more
He just wants to give everyone something to talk about
Love the content until Aleandro starts talking 😲
Who is Alejandro Moreno to question Pep?
First off i Can't wait to hare waht they will say after the tottenham game coming up pep take from thare 😂
Pep is arguably the greatest but sometimes his arrogance can be a negative effect on the team.
It is simple ., injuries injuries injuries
SUN WORSHIP IN SPORTS IS SUN WORSHIP 😢
He has to visit Abu Dhabi first.
This pundits are annoying, so we should all continue watching EPL just to watch one team dominate? This is good for football
10:19 please! Where was all this excuse-making when united literally had a full squad out due to injuries last season, we were told it's the managers job to find solutions, do us a favour man
Keep dreaming😅
Everyone can win through 115
Liverpool and Arsenal have just as many injuries and are not the second richest club on the planet
Pep looks tired. He will follow Klopp at the end of this season
Who is Ale Moreno ??!!
take salah away from liverpool and watch what happens... if you lose your best player it hurts and unbalances the team... arsenal the same with odegaard. it's a long season
Posting city cheating stats is crazy
Man City will Beat Totenham 3-0 Next week...Mark my Words...They are still the Best Squad in Europe ..Many of thier players will come back..But they might struggle in Europe because of Rodri...
These pundits ain’t realize city is on a injury crisis come on it happens to any team every year for the past 4 seasons we seen it
Yeah, pep will sort everything in January by spending $100-200M
Please kick Ale off the show, we're 10 games into the Premier league; Liverpool will dip in form at some point, Arsenal will be back and City will solve their counter attacking issues.
You ESPN, like it or not, Man City will win the premier league. Pep always plays mind games and gives you false hopes.
ale moreno is questioning pep lol
end it now!
Why not we just keep watching as an entertainment things? Some people really have to hate Pep and city that bad? You guys bet on your house or what?
