If you watch football you will realise Mancity is not as domineering as in previous Seasons , imagine City surrendering a lead and losing from a winning position, that's unheard of ,this City team is vulnerable unlike previous City teams and the talk that they will recover and overtake whoever is infront of them is a tired narrative, if City goes to Anfield in their current form I can see them getting slapped by Liverpool who will open an 8 point lead on them and they are yet to go to Spurs who will also be licking their lips having slapped them already in the Carabao Cup.

Ali is spot on.The high line without Rodri just simply doesn't work as it makes them much more vulnerable.Pep should either play two DMs in the middle of the park to cover up the spaces between the midfield and the back line much more quicker or should play the back line deeper.

It’s all on and up to Pep. He’s the one responsible for the absurd tactics we’re playing (3-1-6) that even if we had Rodri, he’d be struggling with this system. If Pep wants to change, then City will do better. If he wants to continue playing tactics that our available players simply cannot execute, then we will drop more points. Pep Guardiola is undoubtedly a good manager. Having the best players in the league at the best club in the country - as he has had with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Man City - does not guarantee that you’ll get the best out of those players. But he is neither a genius nor the best manager in the world, as the media have made him out to be. When he is missing some of his top players and has to make do with players at a slightly lower level, despite still having the best squad in the league, he can lose four games in a row, something that even the much-maligned Eric Ten Hag did not manage to do at Manchester United. Managers like Unai Emery have taken a job at a relegation-threatened club and taken the club to the highest level with few resources. Harry Redknapp pointed out years ago that, if you gave Pep Guardiola the managerial job at Sunderland, he wouldn’t finish in the top six - and he was probably right.

That shows how low your football IQ is. Who do you think will finish top six with this Sunderland? Let me tell you that managing best players is as difficult as you can imagine. What did Morinho do with a Real Madrid team with Ronaldo and other best players? Did Alex Fugerson win everything with Sunderland? Mention any top coach in the history of the world who dominated with a smaller team? You’re just ignorant and hating. Shame on you

I am pretty sure he set the world on fire. and of course Rico, Savinho, Doku, Kovacic, Ake, Akanji, a washed walker, Stones, Diaz make up the best squad in the league. A man that has won a 4 peat in the best league in the world is not a genius nor is he the best manager in the world. 6 league titles in 7 years, 13 in 15 seasons... 3 UCLs already and 38 titles but he's not a genius. who is the genius then, enlighten us?

The problem we are seeing with Pep and his defense is that he buys defenders who attacks more than they can defend. Walker is usually all the way up the wing, Gvardiol is the same, and Rico Lewis wont stay in defense. This is unlike Konate and VVD of Liverpool or Gabriel and Saliba whose jobs are primarily to defend so allow the midfielders and forward players to do their job. When these players who happen to be too slow in 2024 , press too high and are caught out with a long pass, it is game over. Question is, why not change this tactics. Use a 4-2-3-1 with Gvardiol and Kovacic as 6s. We also need to play the ball faster in attack as we always give the opponents too much time to recover. Maybe we need to buy Neto or a player like him who can run and kick, unlike Savinho who cannot kick.

I might be misremembering this, but I'm sure a few seasons ago, Liverpool were 5 points ahead of City around Feb March, and they played them at City, so had the chance to go 8 points clear. City won and went on a winning streak all the way to the end and won the title. It's November. Anyone talking about crises and titles at this point is either a fool, or a clickbaiter. I'm a Liverpool fan BTW, so it's not like I want City to win again, it's just realism.

This was the Vintage City who chased it down. Prior to Liverpool opening the gap they had 1 or 2 hiccups but nothing major as they were still performing. The hiccups and flat performances this season are reminiscent of when they lost Otamendi in 2019/2020 and Liverpool smashed them winning the league in record games to spare. So this doesn't look like a comeback. Especially since they did 4 titles in a row. It's enough. 5 in a row and 4 in row won't be broken in consecutive seasons. The premier league is tough, 5 in a row will happen in a much much later stage.

Using injuries as excuses for bad performances for City and Arsenal is just pathetic.
It’s a part of the game. Liverpool played through it last season with the like of Ryes Williams in defense and yet, were challenging for the title until about half dozen games. Yet many said they choked. But now you want to give excuses for city and arsenal in order to minimize the performance of another team. If city were winning those games, you’ll be talking about the depth of the squad and how they have players who can come from the bench and change games. With the money the spend on players every season they shouldn’t be giving excuses.

Most teams go through a period when things aren't going well and this is theirs.
The 5 point gap behind Liverpool is nothing.
Liverpool will also go through a difficult time and if history repeats itself it will be at the business end of the season when they can least afford it.

That's coz it was the old familiar city that could chase it down. They look to flat to do it. The last time they looked this flat was when they lost Otamendi through injury in 2019/2020 and Liverpool smashed them and won the league in record time with 7-8 games to spare.

Liverpool has had a very good run of games however the winter schedule will be brutal for Liverpool as well as the run of games to end the season....City getting their players back fit and rumoured to be looking to reinforce in January....if you want to write City off when a Liverpool draw and a City win can narrow the point gap to only 3 is absolutely madness....

@@Rodney231 Apart from Rodri, I don't see any class coming in that coudve changed things in terms of results, they were flat. And rodri is a 6. They look flat going forward. Liverpool played much of last season with multiple players missing injury afcon etc. as youngsters even played but one thing was for sure their was no drop in performance. Again the last time they looked this flat was in 2019/2020 and Liverpool won it. All those years they chased it down it was hiccups not looking flat. It's not about missing players I see de Bruyne, Foden etc. All underperforming this season. I mean for e.g. Foden has only got 1 goal all season. So regardless of players missing he is flat as he creates his own goals. It was never like this previously, even when they had hiccups and chased it down, so that's why I'll only give them a 10% chance of winning it.
