Absolutely great review. You described feel and the linings and so much more in a very accurate way the details and description was good. Your use of words is how language should be used. Thanks sir. I’ve subscribed.
Coming from my first helmet an ICON Airflite peacekeeper ($250) to an Airform ($250) to a SHOEI RF-1400 ($800) i decided to get the pre order the Alpinestars Supertech R10 ($1100) and let me tell you i have ZERO regrets. The R10 is by far superior to the other 3 in every way. 150% recommend especially if you suffer from a high body temp, i sweat in the winter so a well vented helmet is a must.
Dude, this was one hell of a comprehensive review! Good job! Myself, I have the Shoei X15. I have a large oval head so I rock the xl. Fits really well, runs cool, and definitely a bit loud. Ive never had the pleasure to try an Arai, but your review helps get an idea of how they all compare. Keep up the quality vids and thanks for putting in the work for this!
Dude.. Thank you for the compliment and the comprehensive comment Lol.. but seriously, thanks and you are more than welcome.. the vid was a lot of work. im glad you enjoyed it.. and the X15 is a solid choice...
I spoke with HJC yesterday who told me the 1N should now be shipping with a smoked visor in addition to the clear. Having said that, Revzilla told me that it doesn't come with one. Smoke visors are sold out EVERYWHERE for the HJC, so that's something to keep in mind if you're looking to get one in the near future.
they should come with a smoke visor over the real defusior that not everyone uses.. and you are 100% correct, they are all some out everywhere. If you want one, you can find a couple on eBay or some dealers have a few in stock that they ordered a while ago. I got mine from a dealer here in GA.
I just double checked and read it only comes in the box in the European countries. Glad that's where I ordered mine from. A blind hog finds an acorn every now and again 😂@smithshotracing
For what it's worth I have to unpin my folded Dumbo ears in all my lids. HJC R1n and rpha 11 pro Scorpion r1 air and Shoei x14. The R1n is my favorite of these lids. Great review.
None to see here, and price is to steep for me. HJC Garett Gerloff rpha 1n is on it's way and is sick looking and budget friendly. Check it out. @@smithshotracing

Amazing painting on the Arai helmet! Can I buy one like that?? PS what do you think about the BELL Racestar DLX helmet? It's a pity he wasn't in this comparison.
I would have loved to, but then I would have had to buy another helmet.. I aint rich yet. as for getting a DBZ paint job, contact SL Graphics on instagram.
Great content. Looking for a replacement and I was wondering what your thoughts are on naked bike- mt09. What helmet do you think would work the best. Hear a lot of good things about the rf1400. Thanks
Thanks man.. As for the shoes RF1400, its a great helmet, price isn't bad at all.. I would totally get one to ride with a MT09.. Great fit, go for it..
You might be between sizes. a M might fit you real snug, great for track use but annoying for the street. a L may fit loose, but not too lose were its unsafe... BUT id say to try them both on.
when you are riding with the head down position with the R10, are you able to see the street? I just ordered one and if I put my head in the neck I only see the upper edge of the helmet. My LS2 FF805 Thunder is waaaaay better in fact of the vertical sight. I cant even see the edge of the helmet on the LS2
That's impressive that the LS2 offered that much sight.. but the R10 has better sight than the helmets that I tested. HOWEVER, the one flaw with the sight, you can see the seam in the top of the visor when in a full tuck on the track. In my opinion, it's a flaw with the visit, not the helmet.
@@smithshotracing appreciate it! Sucks you say the build quality is lacking when the company is like it’s FIM approved and all. Makes me wonder if they’re conning of whatnot. 🥲
@@SHD_Agent6514 the build issues I pointed out with the vent closures, I doubt they have anything to do with safety. they do feel flimsy, but the helmet as a whole, feels solid and 100% safe.
this is a completely subjective review. A one person’s opinion is completely worthless. 10. Different people will give you 10 different opinions. If you take 10,000 people, then you will get a better average opinion.
not really..I agree that comfort is subjective. but vertical vision, which I measured, weight, accessories, safety ratings, price and demonstrating the visor change.. those are not subjective..
Thank you for the layman’s most comprehensive review I’ve found on RUclips! I opted for the Shoei X-15 as my daily and track-day lid!
you are welcome... and thank you for watching and commenting. the x-15 is a solid choice, it was my favorite before the R10.

HJC's website list a dark smoke visor as being on the box on my R1n that's on its way. 🤞
@@peytonhibdon7659 That must be a new thing. When I did the test, they didn't come with an extra visor. but I wonder if they raised the price.

What you think abt the Scorpion Exo R1-Air? Rocking it currently and compared to Arai and Shoei, I def prefer the R1-Air
Not gonna lie, I have not ridden with that helmet.. but I would like to.
For its price point the Scorpion exo r1 air is a great value. My Bautista stars and stripes is a definite attention getter when balling on a budget.
I have the RPHA1 for over a year now. It’s a nice helmet but it cuts off my vertical vision a bit. I want a helmet that doesn’t cut my vision at all.
@@hellfire08 in terms of vertical opening, the Alpinstars is the widest top to bottom.

The interior is adjustable in the Astars helmet to help with you line of vision.
@@peytonhibdon7659 I know but it doesn’t change a lot and the LS2 is better anyway
If you close some or all of the vents in the r10 would that reduce noise?

Pista garbage anyway
