If you have time definitely visit Jeonju! It was my favorite city in Korea because I had such delicious food and the Hanok village is so pretty. It's famous as the birthplace of bibimbap, I think there's a festival in the fall! Also, I saw on your Instagram story you got sick. I hope you feel better soon and take care of yourself!

If you are interested in going to more places, I definitely recommend you to check out 창원시 진해구 경화동 for 벚꽃 (Cherry Blossom). I remember going there when I was visiting 부산, I think, my friend and I took a bus to there, which is about an hour or more. But it was such a surreal experience, and if its not raining during spring time, that is a definite place for you to visit. i'm checking the site to see when the cherry blossoms are blooming, it could be either end of March or early April. i don't know how it look like due to COVID-19, but when I went there in 2019 April there were so many people and felt like it was a festival.
@@FlamingMVkeys but if you are looking for much closer places, i think you can also visit 청주 or in 대전 as well. I don't normally travel very much either, but i would love to see you visiting many places and have a good time in Korea

Oh and also about the protest in 광주, actually a lot of the protestors were college students, and back then the military have shut down the whole 광주 city and claiming that they were having a coup in 광주 area, through media. but during that time, a lot of protestors were getting shot at and beaten up to death by the military, and even a lot of innocent people have lost their lives during that time. Although I am Korean American, I was not aware of this part of the history either, since we don't get to learn this in middle or high school, and I've moved to the States when I was in 6th grade. I've got to know more about this part of history through the movie called "택시기사" which is based on the real event. if you want to know more about what happened during that time.
