So glad i grew up in the 80's/90's as a kid. BMX was great. The bikes all had their own flavor/style. You knew what bike company it was just by looking at the bike. Now all bmx bikes look exactly! the! same! LOL. Then you see a trend where the old school comes back and for good damn reason..it was the shit!.
Awesome build.
If u werent a kid in the 80’s/90’s.........
Im sorry
U have no idea how awesome it really was....from bikes, to video games, to the toys, and movies/cartoons...
Me two born 30-6-1970 we so so lucky to be a teenager in the 1980s
I totally agree 80s was the best year's.
im eleven and i realy want to get an silver yellow 80s bmx really. Its get wierder like i need another new walkman i have a NES ,ps2 , gameboy color, boombox ,80s tribiut skatboard but ant to get a powell peralta board becuase they still do them flat with a tail , a casio digital watch , vinyles and alot of cassette tapes like about 46 or 37
Well said man. I was lucky enough to own an '87 Detour in chrome with black mags. It was always easy to tell who's was riding what. Matt had that rad ' 79 Redline Proline. Sergio is the fastest around on that P. K. RIpper. Carlos, you still riding that fucking Hutch? Then there was Jake with the rich parents, on that Haro Master you were dying to ride. The Dude is 10 years old, riding around on the equivalent of 2g's in todays money.
These bikes today do not have the flair the 80’s bikes had..... need to bring them back !!!!
I remember when I was a kid I used to lay in bed at night thinking about having one of these bikes
I hope you get one of each.
Wish you good luck with getting one some day
Same!!! I asked one for Christmas, didn’t get one but gir a badass purple mongoose. I’m in my 30s now and i need a Dyno! Lol
I grew up minutes away from the Skyway factorty and rode by it everyday for years.....ah the dumpster hauls. ......unbelievable!
I bet!!
I had one in chrome back in the day, it was indestructible. Thanks for the memories!
I did as well I had my Dyno Trick Bike back in 1985 it was yellow and silver with white rims ,I'm 49 years old now and I sure miss that bike at times I try to remember what happened to it I think I might have given it away around 1990 but I'm not 💯 sure b t w I worked a summer job to buy me a Dyno Trick Bike it was $400 in 1985 that was expensive back then
also it looks like this guy restored this Dyno because now Dyno is pretty much a crap brand of bicycles now ,I'm not sure what happened to the company 🤔 there pretty much a Walmart bike what a shame the brand Dyno from around the years of 1975 to 1994 there would have been no way this brand would've ever been in any Walmart Gemco or Target stores
Great bike!!! I never got to own one as a kid but now as an adult I’m bringing the old bike days back! I just purchased a Dyno on eBay!!! Wasn’t cheap but I finally get to ride one of my dream bikes.💯
Gt Dyno Haro Redline at some point i built it and ride them hard. Im 49 now and dont ride that much.. But just recently i was able to find my old Hutch frame and i already in the process sanding it down for restoring it. I thought about ordering me a new bike to start riding again. I been talking to Sebastian at TallOrder about a new wip! Seeing these old builds definitely brings back old memories of the 80 & 90 when i was glued to a bike..thanks for sharing😀
Nice , put up your build videos step by step thanks
I have an old hutch frame also
I had an 88 dyno compe. Miss that bike. It was chrome with spoked wheels. Black accessories seat, pedals, brakes, etc. Would love to have another one again!
The Dyno was my best bike as a teen in my hood in Brooklyn Brownsville New York. Royal blue and white mags. Those were the days. I don't see much kids ganging up taking those long rides. Simply awesome!!
Those bars,in love !!! Well done brother !!!
HELL YEAH, I had a Dyno Comp when I was in Middle school and rode that biatch EVERYWHERE. Mine was neon yellow with black paint spatters that looked like black spider webs! It was the SHIZ!
Those Mags back in the days were BMX'S EQUIVALENT OF 20 INCH Rims
Back in da day if you had those wheels you were flexin on the other kids 🤣
@@dawicked2k8 cept they were heavy and if you were a hopper you rode spokes I had ukai 36s and they were mad light and strong
One of the best BMX/bike RUclips channels! Thank you guys! @harvesterbikes
Subscribed. I'm 31 my brother is 36 and cousin 38. I grew up with these old school Haro masters group 1s gt performers vertigos etc. I miss those bikes man
Nice build! 86 Dyno Compe was my freestyle bike. I even wore BMX pants and Dyno Fish Shoes to school.
The ‘87 Dyno graphics were AWESOME!!!!
Damn that was a blast from the past. Thanks for the video. Anyone remember the movie Agroman? 😂
Had a 1988 Dyno detour fuschia color. Skyway II mags, It turned heads. Very Rad!
That’s so rad! I remember seeing and riding these types of bikes as a kid. Memories🤙🏼
LOL Took me down memory lane still have my 87 Harold master Beautiful Dyno
This has been your best build yet. Bravo bravo. I’m a huge fan of the channel and a dyno enthusiast
I had an 87 Dyno. Chrome with black mag wheels. Got it for Christmas from my parents. Baddest bike I ever had.
I had a blue 1987 Dyno Detour from summer carwash job.. I would stare at GT catalog for days and borrow friends BMX magazines.
Holy grail of Dynos! Dyno/GT life!
My first “real” bmx was a dyno vfr, wish I still had it. Great build! I was lucky enough to be a 90’s kid that worked at an old Schwinn bike shop. Unfortunately, dans comp and the internet killed the shop.
My local bike shops never had shit..dand comp is where I used to order all my parts in the 90's. Took my parents credit card, called on the phone with my checklist as they checked the stock and boom..the dans box would come in a few days!!
Then my mom would see the bill and kick my ass!
@@shtdaprdtr Dan's Comp 👍👍
That bike brought back so many childhood memories thank you♥️
My entire childhood! Loved how the Dyno looked! I ended up with a redline 720 though. Still got it!
Outstanding work, I love it
I had a Dyno compe when I was a kid. My frame was neon yellow . I remember delivering papers to pay for it. The remember the yellow color was a special order from the bike shop. I don’t remember if it was a special edition color or not. But I never saw another one like it. The Dyno was a fraction of the weight of my diamondback viper. I actually still have my diamondback viper frame from early 80’s. I hope to rebuild it soon now that my kids are riding now. But I do miss my Dyno
My first Dyno was a chrome with white detour with white mags gyro seat tires brakes wish I still had it sold it for 20 bucks in the mid nineties at a yard sale
Nice Bike👍 I had a 92,Dyno Compe back in the day.
If I saw any of these old school BMX bikes in real life I would instantly turn into a kid like the guy in “Space Ace”.
My favorite. Great build.
never had one, but it was my dream bike as a kid
Beautiful build
This brings me back to my childhood memories thank you for putting this video up awesome freaking bike wow wow wow
Nice Build, You look like an experienced Dynocologist
Cool vid brings you back to old school I free styled on a GT Pro Performer
I remember I had one and I would ride it to school everyday and then one day I wrote it to school locked it up and then I came back out and it was stolen and I never saw it again but I definitely remember that bike
Sweet build 😎
Nice colour choice Harvester. Looks great!
Great bike great build harvester.👍
Had a blue Dyno pro compe, from the late 80’s, I actually still have it. It could use some TLC to bring it to its former glory.
Aloha Amigo & Very Rad BMX Build . I got A Black 1997 Dyno Compe & your video is Epic !!
Not sure my year , I had a DYNO COMP it was all red white grips tires and seat and it had rims not mags. I loved that bike good old days. I roll public enemy ripper now. Thanks for the video
best looking build so far on your channel
OMG!! THAT THINGS IS SOOOO SICK!!!
Sweet retro build! My Dyno 89' chrome frame set build in progress. My frame doesn't have the rear brake mounts, only caliper side pull setup.
This is an epic bmx video! Just loved it 😀, keep it that way it is so good!!💫💫
😁👌THEY GOTTA BRING BACK ALL THESE BMX BIKES, GT, HUTCH, DYNO, AND THE REST! I'D BUY ONE IN SECOND
Beautiful guys 😍😍
Great job
I woulda went all o.g. everything.
Beautiful
I miss my old Dyno VFR and Air. I need to buy one again. I'd probably look ridiculous on it now. Lol
Nice job 😊
Oh, I always loved the dynos, but my first love was a 1984 chrome Predator. She was my Rushmore.
I miss my 1988 dyno detour.
It’s mad the bmxs I’ve had over the years that are now worth more money than when good old mum and dad brought me then!
I miss the 90s and Dirty Harry levers !
Very nice!
Like the pedals on bmx.
I had a Dyno comp. Some jerk stole it, stripped it down, and put junk parts back on it. The police found it and all I was allowed to take were the parts that were mine. I basically got a frame back. It was a sweet bike while it lasted.
GT stem is one of the hottest item for bicycle in Malaysia bro
Nice build...the handlebars don't look like real pretzels from dyno
Had a HUTCH TRICKSTAR
all chrome , frame , laid back seat pole , forks , bars , purple Perigrine mags , Haro tires.
I had a lime green dyno gt in the 90s I still today think about that bike everytime I ride I wish I had it
good one..thanks for that
Reminds me of the movie Rad. I had a gt vertigo and I dyno air And the old predator that was my fave
I had one of these I bought it off a friend for $10 because he got a hutch and didn’t want it anymore but it only came with the frame, forks, handlebars and crank. My father sent It to a paint shop where it was stripped down and painted purple and when I got it back I found the same plastic rims and slapped them on.
That’s a real nice bike 🥵
White one is Dope Bro
Next build should be the loud pink Kuwahara, if one can be found...
Dyno/GT bikes are still the dopest designs in the game though...
Like Jordan/Nike/Tinker Hatfield...
GOATs
Dyno bikes Epic 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dig the ET shirt in intro. Kuwahara!
Didn't even know 990's existed in the 80's... 😲😂
First gt was a chrome 95 performer orange and red stickers, gyro was the king of the neighbor hood.
Nice I want one
Wow Man I want it
Fire 🔥
Those pedals tho! WhaaT!
yo tenía esa bike, super fina, q brutal...
These bikes were mad dope but also super heavy I had a detour and my redline was my daily driver cause I could hop way higher on it
I had a Dyno, Redline, Kuwahara, Haro Team Model, and a Hutch
Man like Mr s was spoilt!
HUTCH all time fave!!!
I had a dyno frame in the early 90s and late 80s always wanted pretzel bars tho
Sweet Ride, where can I pick it up?
Great build. Love Dynos.
I would kill for that bike
Sick
I don't know how any man can work with any nails showing. I honestly don't know how
I had the mid 90s model with the black with red splatter paint and the gt mags
I have one that I’m putting together that I came across in the street” Random” was so cool because they didn’t know what they had in their hands
does it still have the original number under the frame of the axel
I grew up in the 80's and if you had a mongoose, Haro, redline, pk ripper, GT, dyno you were the shit!!!!
Just needs a Dyno drainpipe seatpost and a SpinTech rotor. BTW, I still have my lavender '87 Pro Compe if anybody's looking for one.
Sweet upload dude! I was riding hard in ‘87 (Redline RL), and one of my mates rode a (blue) ‘87 Dyno Compe! Very cool bike! Keep doing what you do!
I recently fully restored an ‘84 Aeros Ace (copy of a Haro Freestyler) Every part - 100% origin chrome! There are only two pics of this that I can find, both from the BMX Museum. Do you know anything about them? (Yes, I do ride the one I rebuilt. ;)
I love my JMC mini and my GT santa ana
I got this bike in blue,I got it when I was 13,14 only part not original is post, post clamp and rubber. It's been in the building for awhile
The good old days
Wow, blast from the past, I had one. Is that the seat post that they ended up reinforcing with the metal bar inside to stop it from bending, lol? Awesome build!
I am thinking restoring mine as well, can the frame fit the newer 20inch alienation rims?
