I really like how your components are neatly installed in that closet… May I ask you how is the weight of those heavy devices supported since the racks seem to be installed on a support and not on the ground and how do you avoid overheating..?
Hi Andrea, most of our larger systems are racked. Middle Atlantic specializes in rugged racks, and they spec how much each shelf and structure can safely hold, which simplifies spec'ing the right product for the job. Cooling is critical. In rear-ventilated areas (a garage or in our case, a hallway), passive cooling is usually fine. In a closet we spec active cooling (aka fans) and arrange vertical ventilation.
