His numbers are only good when he hits against the Mets. And I would have Ronnie Mauricio at second base. He has power & speed & a strong throwing arm. Christian Walker is 4 years older than Pete & doesn't hit for power like Pete. Bregman's numbers have declined over the last 2 years why sign him?
Seattle reportedly would trade Luis Gilbert only if the trade improves the 2025 team. Drew Gilbert, who posted an 85 wRC+ in his age 23 season at Triple A, comes nowhere near enough to top a package for Castillo. Steamer projects Gilbert with a 2025 wRC+ of 88, including a .295 on-base percentage that would likely crater in Seattle (where bats go to die). The Mets and Mariners probably do not match up in a trade for Castillo, who may well open the 2025 season in the Seattle rotation.

I can't believe the Mets is going to let go teoscar Hernandez and Anthony Santander the are cheap to get they can make tons of money with them as a fan's favor with Soto and he will help to back up Soto that they spend so much money on Unbelievable waiting for the Yankees to take Santander or the Oscar Hernandez. With the Mets signing Cannon I could see Butto getting packaged for Castillo
