Love the video and catchphrase. I have a similar problem in that my corded trimmer is dying and I need to replace it. Would you mind sharing the make and model of your trimmer? The main reason for dragging my feet is unreliable or short-lived batteries.
Hi there @rodneysmith1754. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The model number of the trimmer is 9854L and it's made by WAHL. The battery now is just as good as when I bought it and it works for a long time on a single charge. I'd be surprised if this particular model is still around as I bought it at least 3-4 years ago. Your Video "Make Original Models for 3D Printing With 0 Knowledge" I have tired your video now for the past 2 solid days...without ANY success. Yes, I can import the file and get it to the sketch stage, any thing after that nothing but errors and unable the get to extrude. I'm one FREECAD ver 0.21.2, either this version is full of bugs, or you might be leaving a step out.??? You should leave written instructions to your videos so people can print them out as reference. Hello @baggy-nu8uc...I'm sorry you're having an issue with replicating this project. FreeCAD 21.2 is fine, it should work, although I do recommend the Realthunder branch which has a number of things working better than the official release github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD/releases or you could also use FreeCAD V1 Release Candidate github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/tag/1.0rc2 . Both the Realthunder branch and FreeCAD Release Candidate are very good and I would recommend either over the official release version. Having said that I'm not sure that the problem you're having has anything to do with the version of FreeCAD you're using. First and foremost what image are you using for the project? Is it a silhouette? How complex is it? The more complex it is the more you need to do to make it work. This is why I recommend using a simple image until you get a sense of how everything works. If you send me the image or a link to the image I can try it here and see if I encounter any problems. I'm assuming it's an image you found online. Also, can you describe what error you're encountering? If by any chance, the sketch disappears when you try to extrude, it typically means that the sketch is not properly closed. You need to have all the points connected in order for the extrude to work. Anyway, I'll be happy to help you with this so let's begin with a link to the image. Also, download either the Realthunder version of FreeCAD (this is the version that I typically use) and install that. Just so you know, the way to get it running is by simply unzipping the program files into a folder and running the program's executable. There is no Windows Installer as there is with the official version. You need to download, unzip into a folder, and run the executable. Waiting to get a link to the image you're trying to use.
nice 🤭 much love cheers

@@CreatewithTech Thanks for the quick response!
$79 takes a big chunk out of the purchase price of an entry level printer.
