Hey Welcome Once again to ZishGamerz! Today i have thought of making a video on "How to update windows 7 Starter to Ultimate ". In this I am trying to explain to you how to upgrade your Windows 7 Starter version to most easy to use Ultimate Version.This is not only for Starters but also for the other older versions.

Saw this posting in 2019 noticed it was originally posteded in 2015, I came across an old Acer Aspire One with Widows 7 Starter installed and decided to try it. Gotta admit I was very skeptical that it would work after all this time. But it worked just as described ... THANK YOU!

IVOVA It should stay on the bit you were using. I was on 32bits when I did this and so I got 32bits after doing this. So I guess it just stays the way it was. Thx for watching.

Holy frick!.. At first it doesn't work, popup product key invalid. I was disappointed and I shutdown a laptop . Till at night I switch on back, to do something about background boz I use win 7 starter.. Then windows update appear,wait till update finish..I right click and BAM, I see "Personalize".Then I check "System" and I see Windows was upgraded become Win 7 Professional.. August, 2023: it didn't work in my old Toshiba. HOWEVER... I did something first: I cloned the original HDD to a SSD, and with that new SSD I tried this procedure (in case something went wrong, I still had the old HDD). So I don't know, maybe something happend in the cloning process so that the updating from Win 7 Starter didn't work.
UPDATE: I don't know what happened, but when I turn on again my laptop it gave me the "Updating Windows" message. When it finished, Windows 7 Ultimate was up. So I don't know what really happened, because at first it returned an error message when I registered the key, but at the end it did updates to Windows 7 Ultimate
