I must start with saying: Fresku... this, this man is in my opinion togather with rapper winne THE most true, down to earth and no bull sh!t rapper in the netherlands. When others rap about cars, b!tches, booze, money and fame... Fresku (and winne) ALWAYS tell real life stories. The good and the bad. In some way trying to teach us how to prevent us from making those same mistakes. Lifelessons. This 101Barz session is the best one ever made cause its SO real that... you can listen it over and over again and learn/understand the story/strugle/pain/longway of this man and why he is so much respected & loved by allot. Big big ups 🫶 He also has a track called "Laatste van mijn soort" wich meens "last of my kind" and the videoclip is unique cause its made in 1 single shot and still amazing 🔥💯 keep it up brother & keep spreading the love ❤
De 2de sessie van Fresku bij 101 is ook top. Samen met Winne(Feis) hebben zij veruit de beste sessies afgeleverd. Naar mijn mening nog niet geëvenaard tot nu toe 👍🏼
If you like real Dutch rap, you should check ‘Sticks’, wayback he was one of the frontmans of ‘Opgezwolle’ which was the first dutch rap group and transformed the whole industry from Amsterdam and Rotterdam to the City Zwolle.
Listen to Twijfel is probably his best song and the one that made Fresku famous, it was such a powerful song for me as a 14 year old coming from very tough times. If you need me to i’ll provide translations as far as i understand youtube im fluent in english.
Back in 2009 or so i bought a cd of Fresku. The cd was alredy gone. I love this man. When he turned into a muslim it was a shock for me. For that i am not so much in his music anymore. Not for him to convert, but the weak reason. But still, i like the early music.

Tbf I think most rap is kinda cringe worthy, but Fresku is one of the few exceptions. The way this man plays with language is among the deepest of art forms. Fresku is the Van Gogh of Dutch rap. For someone who isn't in tune with the intricacies of the Dutch language it's impossible to understand, but if you are then Fresku will blow your mind. The man is a genius, not only in rap but also in the other stuff he does (like his comedy sketches Dr. Gino and Gino Pietermaai).
