Great video. Just to clarify: in the beginning the '100% of youth is positive about mdma' is a joke about a rapsong called 'Drank en Drugs' (booze and drugs) and does not contain any actual research. We are crazy, but not that crazy😂

There are special institutions in pretty much every major city where you can have your drugs tested anonymously, without any repercussions.
They took some of it away though. It used to be standard at festivals but that's no longer the case. Unfortunately. We need that back, yesterday.
He made that point as well, it's in the video 😉 When he said "there might be rat poison in the beer but there's a long line to get it tested and the beer dealer looked reliable" he poked fun at having the opportunity to get your xtc tested but nobody making the effort to do so.

I come from the netherlands and used xtc some times and also know a lot people who used it. And i can honestly say that i dont know people who are addicted to it unlike alcohol weed and other drugs.
weed is not the addiction, but the tabacco used with the week ;)

The most dangerous drugs in The Netherlands are alcohol and tobacco. But the government does'nt illegalize it, because the tax revenue is enourmous. You could say the Dutch government is the biggest dealer in The Netherlands...

Completely agree, but the problem with taxing it is that you can't make it more expensive than street prices. Because many will say, why buy a legal pill for 10? i'll just take the risk for 5 because I'm sure I won't get a bad one.
To be precise, you can only tax it a bit before the risk becomes worth it

I still remember the few years in the late eighties when X was still legal. The quality of X those days was really something kids nowadays will never experience. When our gouvernment made it illegal by law in 1991 the first X related deaths happened.. Why? Just for one fucking simple reason; in those early years it was produced by old hippies who made it with passion and knew how to make it in the right way.
After the ban, the same shit happened as always; make something illegal and the criminal organisations will produce it. There was a demand in those years (maybe also nowadays, I am getting to old for those hangovers), so ofcourse there was product available! But made by idiots who did not give a shit about the consumers health and the safety of their product. So make whatever illegal; and people like Al Capone during the prohibition will get filthy rich, but people will die.. I say; legalise! With restrictions ofcourse, just like alcohol and tabacco, but this is a clear cut case on what happens if gouvernments make whatever illegal. The marked changes, but people will die. It is that simple.
Im dutch, ive used my fair share of 'party supplies'. Got pretty heavily addicted at one point, luckily i met my husband who has helped me stop and all we do is smoke weed, we dont even drink alcohol nost of the time.
I dont know if im for legalization... Its really ruined my life for a while, there were times that were pretty dark and just so much drugs ... Then again the idea of regulation making things safer is always better if people are going to use the druga anyways.
Update* we quit smoking weed now too :) even though it's hard now I know in the long run it's going to be better

The 100% chart you saw was not an actual statistic, it was a joke about a song. The lyrics to "Drank en drugs" by Lil Kleine and Ronnie Flex. One of the lines in the song is "all teens say yes to mdma".
That joke about mdma had to be made by Arjen ofcourse this joke origanates from Lil Kleine's song drank en drugs (booze and drugs) in which he sings this line: alle tieners zeggen ja tegen MDMA which means this ( all teens say yes to MDMA) which in it self already is a joke about Dutch drugs use amongst teens.
Just a little sidenote: the politician is called Grapperhaus but that song he plays is called Grapper House. It's a pun and an actual song he made, full of puns. You probably got that the words Grapper House were a pun on the name but grap is also the Dutch word for joke.
I think you might like the song, at least in part even if some of the puns relate to Dutch topics and at least of them misses the point of the joke in the subtitle. I just watched it back and had a good laugh about it

The big problem with legalisation in the Netherlands specifically, is that it would not bring down the crime and illegal dumping of waste.
Almost 90% is produced for export. And that woukd still be illegal.
PS. When you buy 100 pills or more at once you can get a big discount. The price will be around € 0,80
it will result into cleaner pills becouse now criminals from Belgium or Germany can just buy the clean drugs rather than dealing with Rat killing pills and you could have movement made , just like we should have state weed just have some movement senctiont growers for weed even if its for expost i rather have that we export safe clean drugs than that we export shit that can kill you because its mixed with bleach and rat-away and it would be an incentive for the other countries to also legalize.

@@Potjandorie if its legal its will be goverment factorie that can cleanly dispose of chemicals vs illegal dumping and criminals and factories and weed farms are taxed they have paper work and people getting pay checks that's all really easy to check and you kan make sure that the coffee shops get clean and safe products and with all that tax money and all that man power not focused op small time dealers you can now focus on the big players

No, producing for export would still be illegal. Therefore the waste handling would still be illegal aswell

48 years old here and I have for a few years tried some natural stuff (herbs, mushrooms etc) from the smartshop and also have used some weed.
It's often very pleasant and sometimes it helps to break through some personal problems that you may have.
However, even with natural products you must know how to use them wisely.
Except for VERY occasional weed, I dropped everything years ago.
Oh but I do support our government financially by drinking alcohol! :-) Although I also often buy it in Germany because it's taxed far less there.
