I humbly thank you for showing us how you make these Gurkha Kukri. I would love to have one. I was many years ago a blacksmith and I love to watch blades being made. The Gurkha Kukri is my favorite and I think the best blad ever made. Thank you so much again for this beautiful video.
i like yung gawa sa red wood na scabbard, handle made of horns, ang galing, yung shape ng blade is on point, defending on what you like in terms of Kukri style.. pero kapag ako ang client i suggest full tang, instead of short rabbit tail.. and the most important yung SPINE medyo manipis, sana medyo kapalan ng konti to make it really authentic GHURKA KNIFE.
Rat tangs produce better balance and absorbs more shock in use. As far as durability us conerned no issue i have seen farmers melt plastic bags as field repair. Ovrrall its very practical. Shows how smart/practical our ancestors were. Full tang isnt always the best solution or the only solution.
@@mrcorbel I know, I have a kukri sirupate, and the stem of this reaches the end of the handle reaching out and obviously trimmed later, the stem runs through the entire handle and is noticeable in everything, the balance, the weight, etc., with a short stem like the one in the video you don't want your blade to go flying with people around when you hit
yung notch di ko sure tawag doon yung malapit sa handle, hindi ba magkakaproblema yan in the future? Kung smooth curve naman pagka gawa ay ayos na ayos

The notch has a purpose, it prevents the blood from dripping into your handle - making it slippery. I encountered this information in a documentary.
