    What a moment to have frozen in time on the landscape. That fulgurite was phenomenal.

      The bad lands looks like the bottom of a fire pit where you where at. Could not believe what you where showing. Looks like fun. My daughter just made a film in the bad lands.

    Thanks for sharing, wish my back yard was so cool, really appreciate the walk outdoors without spreading the virus. Petrification is a phenomenon of plasma discharge, needs water, some line workers accidentally petrified a tree stump when they dropped a high tension line on a water-soaked stump. Seems its a fulgurite with the transformation preserving the original structure better than happens on loose sand.

    Open range ....Oh yea !! Magical..Mystical place...Thank U for sharing...You two are about as healthy as one gets....!! You make it look easy ...:) we have some of those in Eastern Mt...and THIS TERRAIN IS NOT EASY !!!!!!!     The bad Land's in eastern Mt and west, North Dakota are very diverse and colorful, looks like a martian landscape,coalvañes oil flea's on jackrabbits real bright at night thank you both,grim is a star!

    Did you see any of the piles of petrified wood chips? where a Cottonwood type tree stood fossilized as erosion took away the supporting layers of mud the wood fragnets into chips leaving a circular heap of chips. Bisti,, Its a cool place! thanks for sharing!

      the coal is from upwelling methane rich in half burnt carbon gets trapped in layers in that gypsum where it condenses ... more thicker layers down deeper i bet

    I'm getting from vision (no I'm not nuts) a huge volcano blew itself apart in an instant killing everything around it. There was loads of larva spewing out and then without warning it leveled itself! The only person nuts here is your mate in a white suit with his brain hanging out the back? Then diamond says Rex is all in, I'm not sure anyone's home at all!!!!? 👍
