I was honored to be a part of this recording session on 1st horn part!!! :) ...so fun, educational and exciting! Maybe one day, fingers crossed, Symphonic Winds will record one of my pieces for wind ensemble live! Congratulations Michael Markowski... How liberating of a piece!
BRO I HATE THE MUTE PART 😭😭 and 29 isn’t my favorite cause i keep cracking and messing the notes up ( 0:42 “high” eighth notes but it’s probably numbered for you too, im just not sure ) ALSO WHILE WRITING THIS I REALIZED HOW OLD THIS COMMENT IS 😭😭
Just finished playing this for a Jr/Sr honors band at Texas A&M Commerce. We had six hours to learn and perform this. It was fun and this was an awesome piece to perform. I really enjoyed being a part of the band and getting Mr Markowski’s feed back on our rehearsals. He’s a very nice gentleman and I enjoyed every minute of being at Commerce and performing this piece
My high school's wind symphony played this in my last concert EVER 😭. I was in the lower band, the concert band, all 4 years. We only had two bands (not including the marching band, that i also played in) because we were a somewhat small school. I miss band SO much! I play the flute. Go flutes! Band was my niche!
Played this song at UGA Janfest this year as a trombone, and sitting there listening to this song on stage reminded me as to why I've dedicated myself to band so much.
I got asked to play the piece cuz they needed people in my college top band and I can’t sight read but I was like the vibe part looks fun I’ll play it. Then we when full send into it and I was hardcore failing so they had one of percussion majors take the part and I took the auxiliary parts. The only problem is I hate the crash cymbals
I played percussion 1 (bells and crotales) in my all-region band this year. We only had 6 percussionists, so we had no P3 part (chimes and tambourine). It was fun to play, especially since it was the first time I ever played crotales.

My band director handed this to us earlier this year, but we never played it because it was too hard. It's a shame. I like this piece. There's always next year though.
Chimes part - Percussion 3. It mirrors the sax, trumpets, and horns at different parts. I have alot of rests, and end up listening to the awesome parts around me.
I played this in county band. I remember that our performance wasn’t very good and I made a lot of mistakes with accidentals for some reason. I had trouble getting the vibe of this piece. Wish I had listened this this video before that concert because I like this piece now.
77-102 and 142-17X are the only parts I really like. The rest sounds worse from my band. I liked elixir much more. The very beginning sounds really cool in this recording.

@@myawyabigdog this was a throwback. I do remember the long pauses made the timing of my parts very difficult to hit accurately.
