you were supposed to my school this month because we were playing this song. it's a sad time because of covid-19. im listening again and feeling a bit nostalgic. stay safe
Currently a student at Wagner and I must say, this is possibly my favorite work of yours. Symphonic band did a remarkable job "bringing it to life" as you said at the concert roughly a year ago. Love the music. Keep it up.
This is next level. A high vibration construct. Literally showing off all vibrations of sound & waves to where you can see them through your ear drums. Yes, I'm a little advance and totally understand a lot once admitted. Awesome peace space Alien ✌🏾
It hit me today that he was 27 years old when at least this video came out and he said he made it around when he was this age. This is super neat because in the description for this song (it might be called the composer notes or something idk) apparently when you’re 27 Saturn returns to the place where it was when you were born and this is often a time of self reflection. I wish I could have asked more about this very fascinating piece but I’ve heard it has a sad back story so I felt bad. 🫠
Man I want to play this. I like it, but I've found that you typically need to spend a couple of months working on a Markowski piece in order to really appreciate it.
My band has to play this one day! Such a great piece by a master composer. The section from 1:35-2:05 is my favorite. You are so in control of the pulse you've created that all voices can stop and you just hear the one tambourine hit yet the pulse is still felt. Brass comes in oh it's getting really heavy, and then oh nevermind it's all chill again. It's a good example to study how you can create a lot of buildup and instead of leading to a climax simply slowly let it dissipate.
Do you mean saturns and this song is suppose to mean "The planet Saturn takes approximately 29 years to orbit the Sun. When we grow up and enter our mid-to-late twenties, Saturn “returns” to the same position in the sky as it was when we were born. This is often a time of great reflection, filled with intense self-questioning about our careers, our relationships, and our very sanity. The significance here is that the completion of Saturn’s first orbit often symbolizes maturity as a person enters the next phase of his or her life-a “coming-of-age” from childhood to adulthood" this is also from directly the website if you want to look it up I hope that fixed some confusion😁
This song literally gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it

Bro just dropped this banger on a random June Sunday and thought we wouldn’t notice
