Best hockey coaching tips on the internet. This guy is incredible. No BS or fluff. Tells you what he’s going to show you, then shows you over and over. Keep it up, this is great content for up and coming coaches.
Sean, I'm a Canadian who grew up in Vancouver but my parents were not hockey parents so I never played as a kid, but Istarted playing at 32. 36 now and really starting to hit my stride (pun included) and since I haven't ever had a coach in hockey I've been watching your videos and I'm learning loads. Been improving my skating, passing, offensive and defence all from watching these videos and trying to utilize those things in my adult rec league. Thank you so much for creating so much great content for free here for people like me. Really hope you see this! PPG so far this season ;) Cheers, Antonio.
Such a great coach. I love watching these videos just before hitting the ice and then implimenting it straight away. Im in the UK, where, sadly, ice hockey isn't a huge thing, so having these videos readily available is appreciated. Thanks!
Hi, im a french student that got graduated from highschool this year. I started playing at 12 i think and i stopped for a year 2 times for personnal problem. Im going to play again next september and i decided to destroy my entire team and the others one of my competition and I can say that your videos give me a lot of motivation. Thanks a lot and continue what you are doing !
I have only found your channel recently cause I really got into ice hockey, I suck cause I come from a roller derby background, but getting there, BUT you're developing the next generation of hockey players, man. Good job. This kid is gonna get real far not only because he practices regularly I'm sure, but you're teaching him persistence by not going easy on him just cause he's a kid and him trying again and again and again is really inspiring to see.
Thank you for sharing these amazing videos! So many important concepts addressed in this one video. All of your videos should be required viewing for developing coaches and players. I really appreciate how you discuss the rationale for specific skills and then follow up with excellent real-time demonstrations. Thanks again!
Thank you so much Jeremie! Such a kind review. Exactly how you explained it is how I aim to present each video. It means a lot to me that you took the time to write this :)
I agree Jeremie. Even though my 10U team in Maryland is not playing games I know we’ve advanced this year by using many lessons and drills from ITH. But even more importantly the simple explanations of the reasoning behind the drills and skills have been really valuable. Like in this video stressing that offense is about separation and defense about suffocating- great way to explain it. Or stressing the situations in hockey - we have the puck, they have the puck or no one has the puck. Great work and thanks!

excellent, very informative, but my boy is only 6 he will be 7 in August .... do you have any plans to make a training video for this age group? the season for us is now over so we'll be on the inliners in the summer to keep intouch with the game.

Coach, we’re in Massachusetts and have a 2013 skating up all summer. Love your videos and teaching style. Do you ever make out this way in the states and/or where and when do you normally instruct? We could surely travel.
Your a amazing 🤩 🤩🤩🤩🤩 COACH!!😀😀😀Keep up the great 👍 work 😃!!You have teached me so much. Keep on making these videos, they are so helpful!!😀😀😃😃🤩🤩YOUR AMAZING 🤩 !!!!! Please keep on doing this!!😀😃😃😀😀
This will really help me with my 1v1 Skills against the defense men or jooking the players to get to the defense men. Keep up the good coaching your great at it!👍😃
I feel like if you were to take 5 or 6 strides that quick in that amount of space I feel like it would shorten your strides and make them less powerful correct me if I’m wrong
I know right? lol Daniel would absolutely mop the floor with me 1 V 1, and he's out there like a punching bag. Coach keeping his "#1 stud pupil" title in check.
