    Thank you so much for your perfect recipe. I tried cakes around 4 to 5 times earlier but was never this tasty. I just topped it with fresh Strawberry jam and my son complimented for the 1st time :)

    Hi Manju, I tried this recipe today. The cake didn’t cook fully and was a bit soggy. I baked it in 10 mins intervals twice again. Any idea what could have gone wrong? I mixed the batter as you mentioned.

    What is the specific use of condensed milk?

      You can wrap it in a cling wrap or foil paper and store it in a fridge

      Thanks so much for ur feedback. I do understand wat u mean. These cakes been to be set in the fridge for some time before u can cut it.
      Sometimes i dont have the time to let it set as the next shoot gets delayed . Bit will def keep this in mind.

    Hi I have a sunflame 28RSS OTG. I misplaced the booklet. I tried cake twice. It comes out fine from the top but gets burnt at the bottom. I also tried by reducing temperature to 160 degree. It cooked from bottom and sides but was raw from middle and sagged. Can you suggest a solution for this.

      You can try putting oil , if u r a vegan then go ahead but what would work best would be 50% butter and 50% oil.

    if i wish to do the frosting the next day then is it ok to prepare this cake a day in advance. or better still. let me know for how many days can we keep this mango cake outside without it getting spoiled

      Yes u can prepare the sponge a day before. It’s always best.
      Once u have completed the cake it has to be kept in the fridge. It will be good for 2 days

      First of all I hope ur vanilla sponge was soft .
      You need to put sugar syrup on each layer before applying the cream .

    Mam I have bajaj majesty but when I switch to bake mode first the lower heat gets on then the upper. I did get it checked with the co. But they say it's fine. On low temperatures it's fine but not 175 deg and abv

      I have 3 bajaj ovens and in the bake mode only the bottom grill works.
      Pls can u check the manual and see what is suggested for baking a cake.

      Nxt time u can add more sugar . That's not a problem.
      For the dryness u can't putting 50gms of butter n 50 ml oil

      Manju Sethia because if we add any sour liquid like vinegar or lemon in milk it gets spoiled so if my mango is sour and I add it to the milk the milk won't get spoiled????
