    * Take 1 kg. lemons.
    * Wash them properly, and leave them to dry for 2- 3 hours.
    * Cut each lemon into 4 pieces each, ensuring no seeds remain.
    * Rub 1/2 cup salt (you may choose rock salt) to the 1 kg lemons.
    * Take a glass jar and put the salted lemons into it. Please ensure that the glass jar should be dry and clean. Any amount of moisture may spoil the pickle.
    * Now place the salted lemons in sunlight for atleast 7- 8 days,(6- 9 hrs sunlight is sufficient to make the lemons soft)
    * If there is less sunlight, the lemons should be placed more in open area for atleast 10 days.
    * Shake the glass jar twice a day to ensure proper mixing.
    * After 7 days, add 1 kg sugar, 2 teaspoon carom seeds, 3 teaspoon black pepper, 2 tablespoon kashmiri red chilli powder, 1 tablespoon asafoetida
    * Now mix all the stuff well, ensuring your hands are dry.
    * Store the pickle in the jar. It is ready!
