    . My favorite part, is about 2:05 min into video when you are sticking out your tongue..lol. Of course, everyone knows that the best focus from the greatest minds only comes from sticking out your tongue, like Michael Jordan.. Seriously though, beautifully done! Quite ingenius, especially the outer gear mechanism in the wing to produce the twisting motion from vertical movement Thanks for sharing your awesome design!

    @Moharem Kusen I believe that if the range motions were broader and the wing area was bigger, reducing the flap rate per second and simplifying the mechanism, it could fly. Cutting the air therefore reducing drag maximizing the air mass below is the answer. Good work

    Nice work. I noticed a major error though. Looking at the graphic animation of the mechanism, the yellow arm cuts through the gear pivot points. How in the world are the left and right gears mounted, on the air? because the yellow and the corresponded arm "black arm" both cuts through the pivot mounting points of the gears. You have to choose either the black or the yellow arm. Good job I think you did a great work.

    Possibly over-engineered? Would a single main spar for each wing with an angled hinge,possibly with a small spring on the hinge for the second spar achieve the same motion? I realize I'm just an armchair mechanic, but I do admire your work, and am envious of you having all the gear to work on it and put it together. Well done!

    Your design is super cool and fantastic !
    I'm also making a ornithopter and I have some problem in flapping mechanism. I have just started off in the world of ornithopter and don't know about them , how to design, what materials are best to use, gear ratio, and other things like this.
    I'm unable to understand how can I design a flapping mechanism.
    So, Can you please help me in this.
    It will be very helpful. Please help me in designing a flapping mechanism.

      because of the reasons like weak connection between links/ at wing hinges

      I used caria to simulate the motion. You may also refer to Kazuhiko Kakuta, he is expert in building RC ornithopter.

    Not enough durable, wing ending mechanism is fragile. Does pitching gives something in effectiveness of flight ??? It makes mechanism fragile and too complex.
