Ornithopter Flapping Mechanism | Articulated Wing Design | Assembly And Demo.

Hi everyone !!
This is video demonstrating of articulated Wing Design Of an Ornithopter.
We were greatly inspired by Festo's Smart bird!
That made us to try out building atleast the geometric of such complex wing design even though this thing won't fly...
The white material you see was actually a wasted scrap peice of forex sheet.

Actually it can fly, it needs a slight modification of elbow's joint and change of linkage material. Good work.

For 60cm wingspan single cell lipo(3.7v) with 8520 coreless motor should work fine...

Sorry... This is not meant for flying... but hopefully, proper wing structural design, gear-ratio, compatible electronics ... And most importantly choosing the light weight building material like balsa wood may make it possible to fly...
