The juice train usually departs every day of the week except for Thursdays around 10 AM the train coming back has no schedule because of the 1,000 miles of travel and could be delayed at several points.
I load and unload these cars on the west coast and can say that these cars hold 68 pallets and are loaded two levels high with planks supporting the upper level. Not sure if posting a video of the loading/unloading process is ok, but if it is i will have one up shortly
Hope you don't mind but I want to use a screenshot or two from this video and my video imma give you total props man send everybody your way and everything
This would be CSX Q141 from NJ to Jacksonville, FL then becomes Q741 to Bradenton to get it loaded with good ole fashioned Orange Juice. The loaded one is Q740 from Bradenton to Jacksonville, FL then becomes Q140 north to NJ. On Fridays it's known as Q121 and Q120 up here from NJ to Jacksonville, FL then back to Q741 and Q740.
Yeah that's the plant and location as I remember it. My video is on VHS from years ago. Just go in and tell them you'll switch to Tang if they don't cooperate with the documentary! How long does it take to load a car? How far west do they go? What's the turnaround time for a car. What insulation did they use for the interiors. A friend retired down in Florida and had to move back because the sprayed insulation in her residence made her sick!
oooh i never see this in my country,Indonesia, the Indonesian train are(not many)clean,no vandal, and mostly are passenger train, train, not cargo, but sometimes, the "wild" people can make trains dirty, they inserting weird names, dirty word, and anymore,so is the responsibilty of the train company
Harley Man probably just freshly painted. They don't stay that way long. They use a graffiti resistant paint but they still get tagged. Tropicana tries to keep them clean. New paint was over 20k per car if I remember correctly.
@@AllanLoveJr hate it or love it it gives the train character and there is some dope art work put into these pieces its miles better than lazy modern art they put work and ideas behind it with abstract they just throw paint and call it art and at least they show respect and not go over the letters and numbers
Maybe when factories make the traincars.....they should be pre vandalized with graffiti before the customer gets them..!...saves time and paint at Dollar General
@@jimlove8144 it's better than most lazy art today looks like someone threw up on a canvas to sell to snobs and at least they show respect by not going over the letters and car numbers
I like train videos on RUclips 👍
I'm always amazed at how much work goes into some of the graffiti you see on the sides of train cars...some of it is pretty artistic.
Thank you for the very valuable information

@MrCzechers, I unload these cars when they head to the west coast and can tell you that they do sit at the docks for up to 3 days
Wow....I actually saw a boxcar that wasn't vandalized with paint...!

WHEN DID THE CSXT START BRANDING TROPICANA CARS?

I am going to Florida
Pretty rare for EMD geeps to pull this Gevo powered train
4317: GP39-2 and 4316: another GP39-2. Brother/Sister. Do they live and work at the Juice plant? or is there a yard nearby that they are stationed at?
likely traveled from yeoman Yard in Tampa
Do you know what time of day the juice trains come in / leave Bradenton?
Tropicana OJ I'd awsome
probably around 10am
Those cars must sit idle & for long periods of time to be tagged so badly. Sad. Great video, though
Are there any video's of an actual loading operation from Tropicana, or is that top secret.
No top secret just can't trespass
The train graffiti gives it character so yes it's cool man I think more is a little better
Graffiti is not cool I hope they get arrested. There’s cars had beautiful paint jobs and design until some lowlifes SOB get a hold of it
jim love I was just kidding around I've never done train graffiti ok me and another train video guy were just kidding

So why geeps instead of modern power?
The trains are neat it's the grafitti Ihate
Fred Pohl what?!?! it's awesome the graffiti is dope way better than lazy modern art today all they do is throw paint on a canvas and sell it to snobs
What's top out pay for production worker at the tropicana plant?
I don't know but I can say I make more money than them on youtube.
